First Dr. Roach told me my body was 100 percent cancer free. And just as he told me 9 years ago, this condition could last years or months. He put me on a schedule of MRI's and blood work every 2 months. He said if the cancer came back it could be treated. There is a special kind of radiation done at Riverside and the James Cancer Center in Columbus that can kill early brain cancers with out doing much if any damage to the brain.
He recomended that we just have 2 month checkups and see if it comes back. He said there is very little experience with patients that survive over 8 years cancer free and then have it come back.
Dr Roach said that my body may have been very able to prevent cancer cells from growing only to have a short time when my immune system may have weakened letting me get the original cancer. Perhaps they again weakened enough to let the cancer return this time in my brain. He said he saw no reason for radiation as it only improved my chances between 6 and 10 percent. He agreed that for me permanent brain damage was not worth 6 to 10 percent improvement in killing the cancer.
He said it did not surprise him that I refused radiation and he though no radiation was the best course for me at the present time.
He is taking me off Steroids and keeping me on the anti seizure medication for another 5 months. He said it was OK for me to start driving again.
Dr Roach kept talking about what might happen 2 or 3 years down the road. He kept saying ... "but if that will happens it will be treatable."
I am much relieved. He scheduled an MRI and an appointment for December 11th.

That is great news. The art of medicine seems to cause as many ulcers as it cures diseases. But it sounds like you have some great docs. I'll look forward to your 30 Oct. 2016 update on this same thread.
