"So why aren't the Repubs bringing up Barney Frank?"
Because that is moral equivalency.
Don't many on this website castigate Dems who do the moral equivalency thing?
The current situation is not about Barney Frank.
FReepers can't have it both ways: FReepers can't complain when the Dems use moral equivalency, and then use moral equivalency when a Guppie is facing allegations

We can condemn Foley for his disgusting behavior, support his resignation and hope that he is prosecuted if he broke any laws. We can also draw comparisons to the reaction of the Republican leadership versus the Dem leadership in other prominent cases especially since the MSM and left are making that argument. The first is a moral question, the second is politics. No hypocrisy or moral relativism involved.

To my recollection, neither Barney Frank, or Foley were homosexually involved with government employees and therefore morally equivalent in that sense. One shacks with gay prostitutes, (not beconing behaviour of a US Congressman) the other an alledged predator.
But Dems stonewall and stay in office (despite living with a homosexual prostitute), while Republicans at least have the decency to resign. Both should probably be in jail, imho.

(every time we call MSM "mainstream" we confirm their status. "Drive-by" is working nicely.)
