Oh? How so?
That is truly despicable - Bush is not the one blocking action in Darfur, the UN is.
Methinks I might see if I can run down who is behind Stopdarfur.org or whatever the group was.
"In this case, I personally will have to let that go. Whatever reason this info was released for, getting rid of Foley is worth it, before he acted out some of his (bleccchhhh) fantasies."
I agree completely! I just am not going to sit back and let the dems try to destroy our whole party over it! There is too much at stake for our country right now!
You are absolutely correct kabar, and I think most conservatives are aware of this.
Iraqi's are showing great courage, indeed sacrificing their lives on a daily basis, to try to secure their country.
That is a fabulous story, but to get GWB, the MSM cannot let that be echoed.
Timmy only believes everything he reads if it either against the Republicans/the Bush Administration or the New York Times :0)
The story Gobie is at considerable variance from Frank's. Gobie called the Mark Levin raido show this week. Gobie says he was not Franks lover or live-in. Gobie ran a prostitution service out of Frank's apartment, yes. But it was a service providing *female* prostitutes. Why out of Frank's apartment? According to Gobie, at Frank's request. Gobie's close friend runs a male prostutition service which Frank wanted 24/7 access to. That, accoding to Gobie, was the deal. Frank got his "on-call 24/7" and Gobie got a place to run his business. Frannks was completely informed. Franks claimed to the ethics committee and the press that it was "such a surprise" to him. Nun-unh. According to Gobie, all the stories are lies by Franks.
NOW you see why newt will NEVER be a leader again!

Thanks :) I really think it's true.
Bingo!
I hope more of this comes out to the local folks and I think it will. It looks like Irey is doing some good pressers and campaigning (just has much less money than Murtha).
Here's a transcript of the tape:

Here's a presser from Irey:
IREY ON ABSCAM: JACK MURTHA HAS NOT BEEN TELLING THE TRUTH
Saturday, September 30, 2006
(JOHNSTOWN, September 30) -- Washington County Commissioner and Pennsylvania 12th district Republican Congressional nominee Diana Irey -- responding to the release yesterday of the 26-year-old, never-before-seen full FBI ABSCAM surveillance video starring Congressman Jack Murtha -- this morning held a press conference in Johnstown, where she released the following statement:
"Yesterday was a disappointing and disturbing day here in the 12th Congressional District, because yesterday we learned that the overwhelming majority of Jack Murtha's tenure in Congress has been the result of a fraud he perpetrated on his constituents more than a quarter century ago.

He has all the buzz words of a Meryl Streep democrat. He makes me sick. DeWhine is not prize, but I sure hope he wins.
I am just now watching FNSunday.
I will look for that commercial.
This on Woodward from Michael Ledeen..

Woodward [Michael Ledeen]
There doesn't seem to be much interest in Woodward's book here, and for good reason. Anyone who thinks he knows what other people are thinking, especially in situations he didn't witnesswhich is after all what most all Woodward books are all aboutis not to be taken seriously. I haven't read a Woodward book since I reviewed his thing on Casey, which famously contained an account of a sort of conversation he claimed he had with the stroke-stricken director of central intelligence in the hospital. Woodward was scheduled to go on Nightline, and earlier that day Ted Koppel called me and asked what I would ask Woodward. "Ask him to describe the room," I said. "You know, what was Casey wearing? Were there lots of flowers? What color were his pajamas, that sort of thing..." And Koppel did. And Woodward froze, deer-in-the-headlights. Then he said he couldn't discuss it because it would "reveal sources."
He couldn't discuss it because he wasn't there. He was the source himself.
I'm not going to read this one either. Posted at 2:15 PM
Nails him...
Good, I'll change my tag line.
"Don't forget...if anyone knows about cutting and running...it's Newt."
Hee hee hee... Sunday's most "humorous with the truth" post of the day!

By the way I do not consider myself middle class I would say upper working
The group was SaveDarfur.org. If you go to their website, they do mention prodding the UN as well, but they don't seem to mention that certain UN members are the ones blocking action, whereas Bush has proposed concrete action in Darfur. If you look at the roster of the executive committe they have posted, it a list of the usual left-wing organizations.
it is always Newt first - party and country second.

Perceptive and sad. There is so much potential, and then he always falls back onto a "you've got to like me" mode.
