For that kind of money they'll get a mole into the company and get what they want one way or another.

Lots of applications for this gun. It's been on the History Channel, or at least a version of it. I think it probably would be very effective for Marine anti-missle defense.

Bunk.

No one is buying these cracked pots, so he just got himself in the paper.

He has a good publicist.

Oh yes, I love the implications for this thing as a last ditch point defence weapon against an incoming anti-ship missile and spent a fair amount of time in my latter years in the RAN trying to get people interested. It also has a lot of potential utility in clearing minefields.

Despite growing trade relations between China and the West, the US still regards the Asian power as an enemy.

I hope that's the case, since China's actions and rhetoric demonstrate that they believe the U.S. is an enemy.

Freepers must have stock in that company. For a system that has yet to be proven, I don't understand why it keep getting posted here.

Would you be interested in buying stock in my flying car company? I'm looking for investers.

I'm thinking there will have to be a world wide trade embargo against China - trade is the key to Chicom dominance!

Its not all that complicated of an concept behind it, youd think that a country the size of China could figure it out on its own.

Just before the Aussie declined, he asked, “How would you pay me the hundred million? In cash?”
“You bet,” the Chinese official replied. “Velly fast cash! Once we build gun we gonna shoot ten million dimes a minute at you for a hundred minutes. We get to test gun and pay you same time, Round-Eye!”

The official offered him about $US50 million ($67 million) on arrival in Beijing and promised him another $US50 million a year later.

And a single bullet in the back of the head 5 minutes after he delivers.

For which his family will be sent the bill, just before being sent to torture camps as subjects of "medical experimentation"--and having their organs harvested while they are still breathing.

NO cheers, unfortunately.

This story, and it's nice of them to actually use the word "alleged" here since smells so much like B.S. Certainly the PRC military would be interested in gleaning any military technology it can from Australia, but Metal Storm is for all intents and purposes absolutely useless. It's nothing more than a gimmick and has no battlefield applicapibility that other weapons cannot replicate more efficiently and cheaply. It isn't even that complicated, just use a bunch of barrels and have an electronic firing mechanism that activates them all at the same time.

Seen odd articles & stuff about this; thought it was too wayout to be true or useful.

Atleast they are willing to pay for the technology and not trying to steal it like they usually do.
