He has a point ... except that if Pakistan was wiped off the face of the earth our problems would be significantly reduced.

We have earned bounties totalling millions of dollars

He sounds like a mercenary prepared to sell out to the highest bidder. The more he opens his mouth, the less I like him. Unfortunately he will probably be succeeded by some total Islamo-nut who can't be bought off.

Pakistan is a literal ticking time bomb. The only question is when will its nukes fall under the control of Islamo-lunatics and will this be before or after Iran completes its own nuke program.

"And if the ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) is not with you, you will fail. Let that be very clear also. Remember my words: if the ISI is not with you and Pakistan is not with you will lose in Afghanistan."

So if we fail in Afghanistan, it is Pakistan's fault for that shows that they weren't really with us after all.

"We have captured 689 and handed over 369 to the United States. We have earned bounties totalling millions of dollars," Musharraf says in his book, which was released on Monday. "Those who habitually accuse us of 'not doing enough' in the war on terror should simply ask the CIA how much prize money it has paid to the government of Pakistan," he says, without specifying where the money came from.

If they were "really with us" and not just faking it, they wouldn't be accepting bounty money at all. They would just turn them over as the right thing to do.

Did anyone in the Bush admin criticize Pakistan? Musharaff needs to differentiate between the actual leaders of this country and the "loyal" opposition and their water carrying msm.

Just as bomb threats rather than actual bombing can throw society into chaos, so apparently can accusations from those who have no accountability/responsibility if they are mouthed often enough and loud enough.

I believe what President Musharraf is trying to say, (he does speak pretty good english, not a full command, but better than many American high school graduates) is this...............He needs our continued support in the WOT, period.

He and a few in his government and ISI are keeping things going.................He is risking his life every single day to do so...............If he goes under, lookout.

He needs our respect and our support, period. Do we judge Bush by everything the demonrats do? Of course not. Bush cannot control everything that happens, neither can Musharraf (and even to a lesser degree).

The government leaders in Iraq know that they could be killed any day for their support of freedom, and, they are not now able to control everything that happens in Iraq..................Musharraf knows that he could be killed any day for supporting freedom, and, he is not now able to control everything that happens in Pakistan. I think we should include him in our prayers.................

Even our friends are our enemies. Just what does Pakistan expect from us?

This Pakistani dictator is playing Bush for a fool. After the 911 attack he played wargames to determine whether he could stand against us. He wisely thought that that would be suicidal and decided to pretend to be a great ally while at the same time refusing to take action against the radical islamics in his country. He has thwarted every effort to kill or capture Osama Bin Ladin and continues to this day to aid the Taliban and Al Qaeda. I believe the so called assassination attempts against him in Pakistan are manufactured. He is playing the US like a fiddle. He will continue his duplicity as long as we allow him to do so.

Musharraff seems to have a bug stuck up his butt these days... something (we probably don't know about) must have really ticked him off or scared him

Count me in on the realization that this book has been done/written for more than one reason....but...

Wouldn't it be great if politics could be left out of all the various "moves" by EVERYone, and the good of the people would be everyone's driving force?

It sickens me, but it's the nature of the beast...I realize that too.

What a total jerk Musharraf is! I am so sick of these people!!!!

He is more trouble then he is worth! Just tell him to get the heck out of the way and our military can do a better job without his BS.
