"And if the ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) is not with you, you will fail. Let that be very clear also. Remember my words: if the ISI is not with you and Pakistan is not with you will lose in Afghanistan."

And let us be clear, Mushy: if you are not with us, you will surely die.

I'm confused as to why these reporters wish for the U.S. to fail in the WOT. Their lives won't be in any less danger if we fail, and possibly even more danger.

"You will be brought down to your knees if Pakistan doesn't co-operate with you. That is all that I would like to say. Pakistan is the main ally. If we were not with you, you would not manage anything. Let that be clear," he said.

Next time the Pakis piss off India, we should let India nuke those sob's.

Paksitan will fall to Islamism before the next year is done... if not sooner and we cannot do a thing to help them. Then we will have an entire country open to terrorist training camps and the like and they will be in control of nuclear bombs.

I fear you may be right. India may have to take matters into its own hands and pre-emptively eradicate the Pakistani nuclear arsenal. They will likely want our help with some technical aid to make it possible.

Meanwhile China is clearly sitting back prettily hoping that both Pakistan and India annhilate themselves...leaving China sole power in the region.

Perhaps they honestly think that if the "underprivileged" terrorists are persecuted no longer by capitalist imperialists they will become better people.

In their minds the real evil is capitalism.

These reporters would be heroes (or they think they would) if the other side won because of their "heroic" work of propogandizing against the US (All IMO).

I don't know why so many just don't get it.....Musharraf and Pakistan are changing sides.....they have never been on the side of the west and civilization, and Musharraf has been playing "Taqiyya" all along. If you are unwilling to believe this now, the course of events before the snow flies will disillusion you.

That part is abundantly clear as it was the ISI that warned bin Laden of the missile strike during the Clinton Administration, the impending US attack against al Qaeda and the Taliban following 9-11, and has successfully stymied allied intelligence services trying to locate our enemies with Pakistan.

I do not trust Musharraf or Pakistan. They are playing us as fools.

"The United States and its allies will fail in the so-called "war on terror" without the support of Pakistan and its intelligence service, Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf said Saturday, September 30.

"You will be brought down to your knees if Pakistan doesn't co-operate with you. That is all that I would like to say. Pakistan is the main ally. If we were not with you, you would not manage anything. Let that be clear," he said. "

I agree with him. His reaction is to the Dems constant attacks, who want to insert a wedge between the US and our allies, to have the Bush administration fail in the war on terror, even if that will mean millions of Americans dead. The Dems want to regain power on over the dead bodies of Americans, literally. This may sound dramatic, but it's no exaggeration.

Wasn't that lowlife Khan the Pakistani who gave nuclear advice to our enemies. What happened to him in Pakistan. Why nothing at all. All is forgiven. Blech, this Mushareff ought to shut his face already.

He has a point ... except that if Pakistan was wiped off the face of the earth our problems would be significantly reduced.

"You will be brought down to your knees if Pakistan doesn't co-operate with you."

Let me reword that for you, Mr. Musharraf: "You will be forced to kill us all if Pakistan doesn't cooperate with you." Now, how's that?

So I wonder what set him off.

He's pimping his book (released on Sept 25th and currently #17 on Amazon).

If he got any closer to the U.S. he would probably be assassinated. Indeed, I'm sure there are many in Pakistan who would take pleasure in doing so.

Were it not for the fact that Musharraf's personal security detail is comprised of Westerners (or at least used to be), the gentleman would be God's own fertilizer now.

That would be more accurate. I personally wonder about what type of contingency agreement has been made with say... China.

We have earned bounties totalling millions of dollars

He sounds like a mercenary prepared to sell out to the highest bidder. The more he opens his mouth, the less I like him. Unfortunately he will probably be succeeded by some total Islamo-nut who can't be bought off.

Pakistan is a literal ticking time bomb. The only question is when will its nukes fall under the control of Islamo-lunatics and will this be before or after Iran completes its own nuke program.

Musharraf is a military dictator. He does not have full control of the packy ISI. If free elections were held in Pakistan, the islamofacists would gain control and all hell would break loose in that area of the world. We need to be grateful for his help, such as it is.

Well, the media set him off. They have fanned out across the globe and tried to undermine all our alliances. Exposing "secret prisons" in eastern Europe, ratting out foreign banks that gave us access to AlQ financial transactions, accused world leaders of being puppets and lap dogs, etc. Out of self defense these governments have been forced to either disavow their support for the USA or stop helping us altogether.

BTW Pakistan has been a close (but covert) ally of the USA for a long time, but exposure destroys the delicate balance. Exposure destroys ALL our intelligence gathering capability. No one can trust us. And leakers are never found or prosecuted.
