Ex-mujahedin protest in Sarajevo over Bosnia citizenship

Sarajevo- Some 300 Bosnian Muslims of the Arab origin protested Saturday before the government building in downtown Sarajevo against a possibility of losing Bosnian citizenship they were given during the 1992-1995 Bosnian war. Several hundred Islamic fighters, known as mujahedin, came to Bosnia from Muslim countries during the country's war to help Bosnian Muslims fight Bosnian Serbs and Croats.

Even though the Dayton Peace Agreement, which ended the war in Bosnia, ordered all foreign fighters to leave Bosnia in a one-month period after the accord was signed, Bosnian Muslim authorities granted citizenship to many of them, allowing them stay in the country.

Many of those who came to Bosnia and gained the country's citizenship were wanted in their countries of origin for various criminal offences including terrorism.

Earlier this year Bosnia-Herzegovina's central government, the Council of Ministers, opened a procedure to review some 1,500 citizenships granted during and after the war, mostly to people of Arab origin.

The organizer of the Saturday's peaceful demonstration - Syrian- born al-Hussein Imad, also known as Abu Hamza (no relation to UK Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri) - said some 400 naturalized Bosnian citizens of Arab origin were liable to lose their Bosnian citizenship.

If forced to return to their countries of origin, many of them may face prison, torture or even death sentences, he said.

"We will sue Bosnia-Herzegovina for taking citizenship away from us. We will address courts in Arab countries, in the European Union, even in the United States to protect our rights," Abu Hamza told reporters.

The protest comes less than 24 hours before the general elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina, but was not considered as a major security problem.

"Since when do muslims use the law and not the sword?"

Since they found enormous holes in our legal systems. Oriana Fallaci was being sued in an Italian court by a Muslim plaintiff at the time of her death, because her books supposedly "defamed Islam". The plaintiff had found a law originally written to defend Jews against hate literature and used it.

Now several of the Muslim fighters in Bosnia have acquired US attorneys to do their bidding probably bought with Saudi petro-dollars.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON THIS During the Yugolavian/Bosnian war, many, if not most Mujahadeen who came to fight were sent by their mullahs. The mullahs want Bosnia "back in the fold" under religious control as opposed to secular government. I spent many months there after the war. The Bosnian people are, for the most part, good, decent folks who just want to live their lives. They were forcibly converted in the 13th century when a sizeable portion of the Balkans was overrun by the muslims during their expansion (dare I call it a crusade?) They tried to kick the muj out after the war, but under the existing law, if they were married to a Bosnian woman, they were permitted to stay. They forcibly married local women in order to stay. Saudi Arabia set up free (wahabi) medical clinics to try to ingratiate themselves and plant the seed of fundamentalism. Hopefully, it didn't take.

Liberals and RINOs never seem capable of grasping that every piece of paper they sign is constantly violated by scumbags!
