"The ignorance is so fundamental it is sublime. By invalidating an executive order to abolish a General Fund subsidy of the VLF, Schwarzenegger was forced to ... to borrow the money to make up the $4B, annual shortfall. ...Net loss of $15B to California's tax payers."

What nonsensical thinking! If only the world was so simple. It's not.

California would have borrowed and spent that $4 Billion whether Arnold got rid of the car tax increase or not. That's what they do in Sacramento: spend.

By keeping his campaign promise to roll back the car tax increase, Arnold at least channeled that $4 Billion back to taxpayers.

The other option was simply letting the $4 Billion go to whatever wasteful spending Sacramento would have come up with.

It's not as though the children in Sacramento are suddenly going to cut spending and act like adults, after all. That's not an option.

You're just b!tc#ing at Arnold. You're an unappeasable who has no realistic view of the world; you're colored by an idealism that isn't obtainable in California.

Which is to say, you're going to lead a very frustrated life. Having unrealistic expectations is a sure ticket to being miserable.
