One year on, protagonists have few regrets despite deaths of more than 139 people.

Amazing. For publishing cartoons, the Danes are resposible for the deaths of Islamistic lunatics?

Liberals have friggen' completely lost their collective minds. There is no other possible assessment.

But if he doesn't like Denmark why doesn't he leave? "Denmark is a nice country. It's merely that people have this kind of phobia towards Muslims."

Gee, I can't POSSIBLY imagine why...

I feel trapped in some kind of alternative Orwellian universe where the truth is hate and complete and utter bullsh** passes for logic and reason.

I did my very small part and am seeking some Danish cheeses in my shopping.

If you like blue cheese, I recommend the various Danish brands, especially now that Roquefort is out of bounds.

Probably the wrong impression, but does the article paste Christopher Hitchens as a " “fervent rightwinger?"

Ok...?

In the first quarter of this year Denmark’s exports to the US soared 17%.

I am glad to hear that the "Buy Danish" campaign has done well.

What a surprise! A $12 trillion 21st century economy will have more effect on the exports of Denmark than the 7th century fruitcakes protesting. Who would have known?

Hitchens' anti-boycott prompted me to buy a Skagen watch. It is lightweight, thin, and stylish. I plan to buy more of them in the future. The cost of Skagen watches is reasonable, too ($75-$125). If anyone is in the market for a new watch, I recommend Skagen.

Lurpak butter is the best butter I've had, independent of it being Danish. Also most baby back ribs in restaurants are, I'm told, from Denmark (and I don't keep Kosher).

--Mr Rasmussen last week became Denmark’s longest-serving Liberal prime minister.--

Excellent. In Europe they use the classical definition of liberal, and parties of that name tend to be centrist or slightly right of center.

Better still, why not a more friendly visa and visitor policy toward Danish citizens? Put them on an equivalent status with, say, Canadian citizens. And why not give Danish citizens front of the line privileges when clearing immigration when they arrive in America?
