U.S. suspends some aid to Thailand WASHINGTON (AP) -- The United States has suspended $24 million (euro18.8 million) in military assistance to Thailand, invoking laws that bar certain aid programs to governments that have taken power by force.

That joke was almost funny the first 40 times I saw it.

Ha! Yeah. Was on page four of our paper, then nothing. But the actors are Muslims.

That was a quote from Osama's tape. I did a double-take, too, thinking it was the author.

Just in case anyone thinks the use of the word axis is being used by politicians loosely, from the official Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is picture describing the planned headquarters as "
THE CULTURAL AXES" website. A check of the thesaurus will show axes and axis as interchangeable. The OIC is the government body of all 57 Islamic states. The sole purpose of the OIC is to promote Muslim goals by every means possible.
All the signs are there, but people still have to understand what they mean. Islam is unified and at war with the non-Islamic world.

If this interests you, he has a few more posted at my site. I've been having HTML conversion problems and haven't been able to post his work here. His comments on the Caliphate and the risk of Iraq being broken up in his newer one are especially intriguing.

"All the signs are there, but people still have to understand what they mean. Islam is unified and at war with the non-Islamic world."
And that is what we need to continuously commit to change.

Bringing Thailand under Islamist rule would provide a logical stepping-stone for the fall of other countries with significant Muslim populations This is pure nonsense. The CDR has appointed Buddhists to the important and powerful positions. Today, the announcement was made that Class 6 military people would head the Army, Air Force, Navy. They are Buddhists. Sonthi has never had an Islamist connection. The only fact connecting this coup to Islamist aggression is that Sonthi is Muslim. By itself, that is meaningless.

Its funny the article discusses whats good for democracy in the region when America supports Musharraf. The anti-Muslim bias that prevents the author from seeing the real reasons for the coup in Thailand makes him appear very very ignorant.
Sonthi is Muslim but thats where any Islamic connection ends. The army swears allegiance to a Buddhist King and Sonthi is only the face of the army. Should his loyalty appear to be elsewhere, others in the army will put him away. Its as simple as that. Thailand literally worships its King, and with god reason. He is a Godly man. This article promotes paranoia when it should be directed at democratizing Pakistan instead. The US can't use different yardsticks in different countries. Being in bed with a dicator in one country and being against one in another.

"While following the coup, Thailands military regime has tightened an already iron grip on the nation, pursuing political opponents, arresting dissidents and intensifying media controls. Thailands ruling generals further banned all political activities and imposed tough new curbs on the media, including a ban on expressions of public opinion, as they tightened their grip on power two days after a bloodless coup."
Everybody I know has said nothing has changed other than the corrupt China sympathizer police bribing thug Thaksin has been thrown out of office by the Army. Otherwise TV and news is the same other than the State TV playing patriotic stuff about the King for two days. There are other TV stations there. So what is this author's agenda?
