I certainly haven't forgot Reynolds - I just haven't quite settled on where to put NY-26, except I know that I'm not anywhere near ready to predict a partisan turnover there.
It's worth noting, BTW, that NY-26 is more GOP than FL-16, and yes, the Dems are now funding independent ads in OH-15.

No one with half a brain would believe what Kello said, including Kello himself.
Ya, it is by about 3%-4%, which is significant. But Reynolds was in the info loop on Foley per Wapo. We shall see.

The original emails were creepy but not sexual and the media reports are that nothing else ever materialized that was sexual between the page and Foley. The reports are that there were OTHER pages who came forward with the sexual PM's after this story aired on thursday night.
I understand what you are saying, but if Foley was lying to Alexander and the parents of the page in question (regarding the first reported emails) did not want it public, perhaps that is why the dem on the committee did not get informed. I think there is alot of disinformation out there and there is much more to this story than meets the eye. has no info verifying who all of these other emails are coming from and they started coming in to the site around September 12, 2006. The media has not made it clear that the IM's that are so disgusting were to the page in question regarding the Emails that were reported and looked into by the house committee responsible for the pages.
If Foley lied to them and the boys parents did not want to pursue the matter, what should Shimkus,Boehner, and Hastert have done?
How do we know that Hastert or others did not ask Foley to resign back then? WE DON'T! I am not sure how you go about removing a congressman from office but I'm pretty sure you have to do more than 'ask' them to go if they refuse.

I understand all of that, the whole thing disgusts me...but I am not ready to believe what the dems and the media are spinning about a 'cover-up' just yet. If there was a cover-up by other GOP leaders they can go to hell and nobody will care, including me.
One other thing. Reynolds ran behind Bush in 2004.

Survey USA today poll this week had Reynolds up just 45-43 with 8 for the Green. The green got bounced from the ballot after the poll was done, and now Reynolds had prior knowledge of the Foley thing. Add those together, and it has to be "lean dem"
I did not know that the Green had been bounced from the ballot. Interesting. I wonder who that benefits.

I don't think it will have much impact. Those who want the Pubbies out aren't doing left wing third party this year. What is left are the dissaffected from the public square, and fringe kooks. Most of them won't vote. We need to see if the Dems start cutting big checks into this district. Is there a site that reveals that? Mydd seems to have a pipeline to that info.
