So very sorry for the loss of the deputy. Prayers for his family. This is a nightmare scenario for every trooper who makes a highway stop.

Couldn't they have shot the gun out of his hand or called in a negotiator?/s OMG! Do you remember that post from way back? Some bonehead was telling me that the cops should have shot a knife (IIRC) out of someone's hands.

$ .35 FOR A BULLET as opposed to hundreds of thousands of dollars for a trial and incarceration.
Not a bad deal. Now my tax dollars won't have to go to feeding and housing this waste of air.

We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds
We've got too much corruption, too much crime in the streets
It's time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground
Send 'em all to their maker and he'll settle 'em down
You can bet he'll set 'em down 'cause
Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
We'll all meet back at the local saloon
We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses
Prayers for the dead, and wounded LEO's, and their families.

Suddenly, the Sherrif said there were "hundreds" of shots. I would suspect that this will call for a "closed casket" funeral?

Florida authorities may have found the "dangerous" gunman who shot two sheriff's deputies, killing one of them, FOX News has learned. What's with the "dangerous" in quotes crap???
It probably means the authorities used the word "dangerous" to describe him, and the author of the news article doesn't want anyone to think the adjective is his.

Nah. It means the deceased is Swiss. Swiss-Jamaican, to be exact. Comes from a Moorish community at the foot of the Alps.
Yeah, THAT'S the ticket.

I just heard the news conference on TV....sounds like there was a bit of the guy left after the holes in him were counted.
The numbnutz raised his hand with a .45 belonging to the dead deputy.....at that point it sounded like everyone within firing distance emptied their guns into him.
Then the police told his drug buddies they were coming after them, too, as participants. This should be interesting.
Wish Saddam had been caught by the Florida police.

This ain't over! Wait till the Lawyers get into the picture for the Police over reaction and the murder of the accused shooter. The shooter will end up being the victim.
