Clinton's Kosovo Whopper
Accuracy in Media ^ | September 27, 2006 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 09/27/2006 9:38:58 PM PDT by Mount Athos

Of all the whoppers told by former President Clinton in his Chris Wallace interview, perhaps the most outrageous was his claim that he was involved in "trying to stop a genocide in Kosovo..." In fact, Clinton's bombing of the former Yugoslavia killed more people than died in this "genocide." And his policy benefited Osama bin Laden and the global Jihad.

In the year before the bombing, some 2,000 people had been killed in a civil war in Kosovo. A conservative estimate is that 6,000 were killed by U.S. and NATO bombs.

It's strange as well that Clinton complained to Wallace about the "neocons" attacking him when many of the same neocons in 1999 supported Clinton's war on Yugoslavia. The war was never approved by the U.N. or the U.S. Congress, and in fact violated the War Powers Act. The main beneficiary of the intervention was a Muslim terrorist group, the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), with links to bin Laden, who had declared war on America in 1996, bombed our embassies in Africa in 1998, and would later, of course, orchestrate 9/11.

When former CIA official Michael Scheuer says that the Clinton Administration "had eight to ten chances" to kill bin Laden and "they refused to try," he is making a statement that goes far beyond acknowledging Clinton Administration incompetence or a lack of will. The fact is that Clinton had a pro-Muslim foreign policy that actually benefited bin Laden and facilitated 9/11. Most Republicans don't mention this because too many of them were duped into backing Clinton's misguided policy in Kosovo. President Bush, then a candidate, even backed U.S. military intervention there through NATO.

[...] It is noteworthy that the CIA issued a January 2000 report that essentially whitewashed the nature of the KLA and claimed it was pro-American.

I refer you to the website of the Republic of Serbia Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The mass grave in Batajnica is one of the three uncovered in Serbia in the spring of 2001. Over the next three years, around 1,100 bodies of Kosovo Albanians were exhumed from the three mass graves.

The most corpses, 980, were found at a police shooting range in Batajnica, 77 were discovered at a special police forces' practice grounds in the eastern Serbian village of Petrovo Selo and another 48 were located near the Perucac lake, close to the border with Bosnia Herzegovina.

Apparently I was underreporting the number of corpses recovered inside Serbia. Oh well, live and learn.

The net result, however, is that just as Kincaid is willfully ignorant, so are you Tom.

I will give the administration credit for smoking the Chinese Embassy on a B2 run.

We do not know who did that. Obviously Clinton does not know how to program the target coordinates, so some one else picked those coordinates. Clinton may not have known. I seem to remember that our military bombing of Kosovo was not very effective. We learned that when the Serbians volunteered to remove their still operational equipment. Possible that someone was letting the Chinese know that we knew who was pulling the strings there. The question with that speculation is why would the Chinese desire this ? Lots of unknowns that should be investigated. Of course this area is technically Western Europe. Always has been. Near Macedonia where Alexander the Great came from.

"Mr. Kincaid merely demonstrates the pathetic willful ignorance of those who still toe the Serb nationalist line over Kosovo. It's over. Done. Serbia has lost Kosovo, and no amount of lying or complaining is going to get it back."

Ole Kincaid is just part of the BS spin and we are going to fight against Independent Kosovo as hard as possible and eventually write about the truth concerning Kosovo and not the lies perp by the Clinton Admin.

You know, a part of me kinda wishes they would give Kosovo independence and let the Albanians put together their own army. Then the Serbs could line their army up on the "border" of this new state and somebody can say, "1,2,3 Go!"

After a month someone can then ring a bell and to the victors go the spoils.

Sorry, not Western Europe, but Europe. Definitely considered part of the Western World according to the Persians who first tried to conquer it.

"I have no evidence of this but my bet is that Clinton agreed to do the kosovo thing in order for Bin Ladin to stop attacking america. HE is that kind of slime"

Our leaders do stupid things. I am still trying to figure out why Bush listened to Feinstein and Boxer to gave $43 million to the Taliban two months before 911. Knowing there is an attack coming from Bin Laden using air planes.

We have always wondered why Clinton sided with the Muslims in Kosovo. It was a known fact that the Muslims grew and sold drugs in order to sponsor terrorism.

Clinton and Little Jimmy Carter have done more damage to world peace than we will ever know.

If you read the early intellegence on Kosovo. Kosovo was about Bin Ladin.

Your theory could be right, the intelligence reports where saying things that made it seem like we where trying to not let Bin laden get a foot hold in Kosovo. But that didn’t make since to me.

(early faux-photos by the lib-media)

As reported by Thomas Deichmann in Michael Hume's Living Marxism magazine, no less, and still endlessly repeated by those who choose to ignore the sordid end of the episode in a London courtroom where Hume and Deichmann were tried for libel by the "lib-media" reporters.

There has never been any question in my opinion or in the article that I published that this camp was anything other than a grim place at which there were beatings, there were killings and there were rapes. There has never been any question of that. We have never argued contrary to that. - Michael Hume

I do not say that they at the time were able to leave and there - you know, there were fences, there were guards, which we have seen here, armed guards. - Thomas Deichmann

You might want to do a little more rigorous fact-checking yourself.

Just a thought.

Trnopolje was Bosnia '92, rather than Kosovo '99, btw, and here is more than you ever wanted to know about the whole affair.

Batajnica was constantly bombed by NATO. There where a mixture of Surbs Albanians and KLA’s in that grave site and some questionable identities that seemed to have two locations of burial.

As I was writing to Torie, it is good that you post these responses and certainly you give the Spin masters version. This helps in knowing what the spin is, so that the somewhere in the mirad of BS and exaggerations, the truth will surface. The Serbs during this period cannot be exonerated as Sanda apologized to her fellow Serbs in one SUC meeting for their behaviors during those years under Milo.....there were no 10,000 massacred..there were no Rape camps, and there were no 8,000 Muslims massacred and the ones that were killed were mostly Muh. that the CIA asked the ISI to divert to part of the dregs of the HUM and the HUJI to Bosnia in order to assist the Muslims. If you want, I can send you a video, then again I bet you already have it. The last I heard while in the Marines, that if you have an enemy you kill them......in this case, it was ONLY 3,000 or so. Should of been more.

Here they are........

"The Clinton policy of supporting the same extremist Muslim forces in Europe that subsequently attacked us on 9/11 is far more controversial than the policy of regime change in Iraq, which was officially a policy of Clinton, Bush and the Congress. Kosovo was never a threat to the U.S., and Serbia didn't even pretend to have weapons of mass destruction."

Dream on Cliff,
'Controversial' it is not.
So far as the average American is concerned, Kosovo was a heroic gesture that saved thousands of lives;
The myth is established and no one (right or left) is willing to openly question it.

For the record, the Bush administration did allow for $43 million in aid -to Afghanistan, after being approached numerous times by the UN, Colin Powell, US Senators (especially Diane Feinstein) and various charity organizations concerned about the starvation resulting from the drought and sanctions. I am not condoning this, simply adding perspective. It was mainly organizations friendly with the left that insisted this aid was necessary and their implications that George W. Bush funded the Taliban and thus the attack last Tues. is shameless.

Aid was in the form of grain, medical supplies and other hard goods, routed directly to Red Crescent (Islamic equivalent of the Red Cross) and other relief organizations to keep it out of the hands of the Taliban.

A good question to ask is why the Clinton and his administration chose Dec. 20, 2000 to give Osama another 30 day ultimatum?DEC.18, 2000-ELECTORAL COLLEGE elects GEORGE W. BUSH. DEC.20, 2000-CLINTON ADMINISTRATION gives Afghanistan 30 day ULTIMATUM..until- JAN.20, 2001...INAUGERATION DAY for PRESIDENT BUSH.

As I recall that spending was authorized by Congress in the previous year. For example, when you see something authorized for Fiscal Year 2001, it was voted on in 2000.

It's Congress that holds the purse strings in any case.
