This election isn't Jerry Brown vs. Chuck Poochigian. It's Jerry Brown vs. Not-Jerry Brown. I expect Not-Jerry Brown will win.

I watched a video last week of him speaking at the signing of some piece of legislation last week. He was very impressive. His pictures don't do him justice, particularly the one he put on the banner.

Brown will not ask for the death penality in any case over which he has jusidiction. Brown will not seek extradition for any suspect that faces a possibilty of a death sentence in California unless that possibility is waived by the prosecuting DA. It's that simple.

Funny thing happened to me today. I know next to nothing about Mr. Poochigian other than he hails from Fresno. Knowing his opponent though was enough to secure my vote for Mr. Poochigian and I needed to know nothing further. Anyway, I'm driving my kid to school, listening to the radio and a Jerry Brown attack ad comes on. I listen to it and when it's finished I say out loud "Damn, Poochigian sounds like my kind of guy!" Heh heh.
