Hannity is not a conservative. When was the last time he devoted more than 5 minutes of either of his two programs to anything other than the Iraq War or economic issues (see below)?

The Iraq War is a LIBERAL'S war. It used to be a pre-emptive war, which is a conservative value. But now we are acting as global policemen. One-world government; clearly liberal.

Occasionally Hannity will mention economic issues. However, in these cases, his rhetoric and positions are exactly the same as those of a liberal. Is Hannity willing to abolish any government program? Minimum wage? Welfare? Social Security? Public schooling? Nope. He wants them all.

It is extremely bad for the conservative movement to follow people like Hannity who are almost always wrong, and even when right, cannot express a coherent argument without quoting someone. Rush Limbaugh is better and more reasonable, but he too would probably not favor abolishing any social programs entirely. If conservatives stick with these New World Order types (I do not use the word conspiratorially, only to refer to policy), we will continue to get people like Bush in office, whom we try to force ourselves to support, but who is really just a somewhat sane member of the Washington Establishment.

Even more deadly is the readiness with which Hannity and ilk accept expansion of government in the national security realm. Yes, the NSA spying program is a good thing. Yes, we need the ability to torture. But Hannity would favor 100% surveillance of all civilians by satellite if possible (it actually is). And the CIA has a shady record when allowed secrecy powers (Northwoods, Agent Orange, MKULTRA, bio-experimentation post-WWII).
