They played the vile anti-God song "Imagine" at half-time at Texas Stadium, on Thanksgiving. It's no longer the "Tex, Gil and Tom" Cowboys.

84 games played 84 fumbles 1 fumble per game. That's a bit misleading. Of those 84 fumbles, he lost 36 in 6 seasons.

That's a bit misleading. Of those 84 fumbles, he lost 36 in 6 seasons. Culpepper 1999-2006 (8 years, the first year he only played 1 game and this year only 3 so far)
84 games 84 fumbles 36 fumbles lost
Peyton Manning 1998-2006 (9 years HAS PLAYED EVERY GAME 3 so far this year)
131 Games 43 Fumbles 15 Lost...
To: Terpfen
Having the seasons he's had while playing for the Vikings is pretty good, I'd say. yea and if the Vikings would have kept Brad Johnson and never drafted Culpepper maybe they would have won a Super Bowl or 2
To: MikefromOhio
oh, I also see an upside to Byron Leftwich ALTHOUGH his mechanics suck bigtime and he needs to lose that slow retarded windup that does.
To: MikefromOhio
wait a second, aren't you a Bears fan? yep, Bears and Colts.
To: Echo Talon
Not with the teams they've had over the past few years.

At least he didnt get caught with a dufflebag full of dildos for a sex party like Michael Irvin. Now wait a minute, you are mischaracterizing that incident. It wasn't for a "sex party," it was for an experiment.
Someone had said that there was no bigger prick on the planet than Michael Irvin, and he was just collecting data to see if it was true...
To: Echo Talon
I dont deny he has a fumbling problem (I'm a Dolphins fan), but it's not as bad as the 1 fumble/game that you are making it out to be.

You can't even name all the black qbs who have come and gone without a ripple in the media or howls of distress at their failures. What the media has a fascination with is the superb athletes such a McNabb, Cordell Stewart and Vick who are high draft picks. They care about them being black only because of the Freak Show mentality accompanying the idea that blacks cannot play qb. Where was the media clique promoting Jeff Blake, Rodney Peete, Vince Evans, Gilliam, and the others not national figures?
You also mistake the overrepresentation that the Eastern media has in promoting these players who attended Eastern schools like McNabb and Vick or played for Eastern pro teams like McNabb and Stewart. Had either played in Oakland there would have been little or no attention given them. They could hardly "over promote" two of the most intriguing and potentially talented players like McNabb and Vick merely because they were black. Did it "over promote" the Fridge because he was black or because he was a fascinating character on a fascinating team. Those screaming about this putative promotion of black qbs need to examine their thought processes.
We are not discussing NFL coaching hiring guidelines so don't try and obscure the issue.
Read my tagline if you want my view of the Treason Media.
McNabb is immensely talented and your inability to recognize that (when the NFL clearly does) makes any comment you have on football highly suspect. He has worked for everything he has gotten and deserves every bit of it. It would be very amusing to see a pussy like you call him a "momma's boy" to his face or to scrap you up off the field after being buried under a half ton of defensive linemen. It would take months before you stopped shaking and crying enough to type your hate-filled bilge again.
What did McNabb do to you, cost you money by betting against him?

So are you going to be at Soldier Field Sunday night?
That would be a good game.
If the game were between teams with two black head coaches you can bet the cries of "how did the NFL arrange this game which clearly was prearranged through racial politics?" would not be far behind.
These people are living in the 1950s.

He was the best athlete in the draft in 2005 and you can bet that if any of the scouts thought he could have been taught to play qb in the NFL he would have been drafted for that. I loved watching him play at Arkansas though.
Vick will be in the NFL for another ten years barring career ending injury. The NFL is desparate for qbs as a look at the rosters clearly shows. Of ANY color.

I was very reluctant to use that high a draft pick preferring to trade down and get more. My apprehensions have been fully borne out.

They are the exception. Over the last forty years many have been tried and almost all never made it. Again I point to Bobby Douglas who was 6'4" I think.

Height has a great deal to do with it. Scouts are ALWAYS looking for height because it facilitates looking downfield.
Flutey was an anomally and the other guy can hardly be considered anything but a work in progress.
You see the same thing in baseball where the scouts look for tall pitchers but they also rarely work out.

Rush's comments were not only out of bounds but stupid beyond belief. Where did he ever complain about Cordell Stewart's race?
I like Rush but he is totally wrong about somethings including McNabb.
There was nothing wrong with what McNabb said in your quote either.

Had McNabb been a Steeler Rush would have said NOTHING about his race.

I prefer the entertainment at half time at Soldier Field. It is whatever the Bears can get for FREE: animal acts, tumblers, kid football teams, and punt, pass and kick contests.

Although we really don't know how he will shake out, he has won a Super Bowl(***cough cough**)
Brad Johnson 6'5"
Has been in the league 15 years and Won a Super bowl..
