DALLAS - Terrell Owens was taken to the emergency room for an undisclosed reason Tuesday night, and doctors treating the Dallas Cowboys receiver were trying to induce vomiting, according to a television report.
It made me laugh...but then, I'm easily entertained.
yeah, I know there are people who hate T.O. but, this is such a sad thing. Being suicidal is not a cry for attention as some people think. I have tried to kill myself and had my stomach pumped when I was 14. I wasnt thinking about getting attention, my thinking was just so twisted and I felt I didnt want to live anymore.
People need to be compassionate to Owens. It is an illness.
News is just reporting that he took 35 pain pills as admits to trying to kill himself. Says he was suffering depression.
for some reason I do not buy into that theory.
If someone even thinks suicide, they are seriously ill. not just an attention whore.
Prayers for Terrell Owens.
At least you can pick your own misery.
Jerry Jones played with dynamite and it blew up in his face. He deserves all the scorn he gets!
I agree, having been suicidal in my younger years also.
It wasnt about imagining people crying for me, in fact that was a motivation not to do it for me.
lol
Yes thats true. It probably wasnt about the bills.
If he happened to do this as a publicity stunt, he really needs a lot of help and he'll NEVER play in the NFL again.
If this was a legit attempt(as Skip Bayless seems to think), you can't help but feel sorrow and pain for him at the same time. Immediate help for him for sure. I don't know that he plays again in this case either.
St. Louis Cardinal fan here also. I have a favor to ask.
When you're done with the vein opener, may I borrow it??
yeah, the last thing I wanted to think about was my family and friends crying. all I could think about was that life felt terrible and I wanted out.
I can say that if I would not accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, I would not bere here today. I was in the hole so deep, Medication and counseling wasnt going to help much. I was on the edge and about to go over.
aCTUALLY most athletes register under an assumed name or their wive's maiden name.
And their family members also register under assumed names. A friend of mine was the nurse in the delivery room for little Justin Wood in Arizona. Even all that distance away from his team's town Kerry and his wife in case of problems registered under assumed names.
Justin is a doll.
Same here my brother, without Gods help I will be pushing up daisies.
I thought when the Cowboys got him if anyone could handle TO it would be Parcells.
Prayers for TO.
On the Cowboys I thought I heard they are going to sign Northwestern QB Brett Basanaez to the practice squad. This might be good. Someone will take a chance on him as a project and be happy they did.
After Bill Clinton french kisses you?
That was my thought the year Eli Manning was drafted, but Jerry stayed with Quincey...and Eli's looking pretty good about now.
Drug overdose? Suicide attempt? Too bad - -he's such a talent. I hope he recovers and gets some help.
I just have to laugh when teams take a chance on one of the high-maintenence egomaniacs and get burned. It's one of the reasons I don't really like pro sports anymore--"team" just doesn't enter into the picture much these days. It's all about contracts, image and selling cars/shoes/clothes.
News conference on ESPN right now...
