Sen. Clinton Backs Husband After 'FOX News' Interview

WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Clinton on Tuesday backed her husband, Bill Clinton, for fervently refuting questions about his anti-terror strategy, even as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice challenged the former president's claims that he aggressively pursued Usama bin Laden.

Bill Clinton appeared on "FOX News Sunday With Chris Wallace" on Sunday, where he said he did more than many of his conservative critics to pursue bin Laden, and left behind for the Bush administration a comprehensive plan to fight Al Qaeda.

He was reading an article .. something about Clinton sending a message to the press .. that if they went after Hellary .. they would go after them

It was in the context of the Monica story and how the dems went after Livingston, Hyde and others about their extra martial affairs

He certainly "received" Bin Laden's notorious 1998 "fatwa" which called upon all Muslims anywhere in the world to kill Americans anywhere in the world. So, yes, Bill Clinton had the most explicit possible warnings (then and many other times) that Bin Laden had global ambitions to kill Americans wherever and whenever he could. The dumb journalist should have thrown that fact back in Hillary's face, since she glibly asserted that dear Bill would never have failed to act decisively in the face of such a warning.
