Could the contrast between Bush and Clinton on this issue make Clinton look like any a bigger of a weenie?

He's right. Let the Democrats become unhinged! Bush has more important things to do.

Bush, who is trying to stave off a Democratic takeover of Congress in NovemberNo bias by Reuters here is there?

My guess is Bill won't be with GHWB for Thanksgiving.

Bristle? Did anyone think the president "bristled" at the question?

Bush, who is trying to stave off a Democratic takeover of Congress in November Very wishful thinking on the part of Reuters.

W's comment is priceless. Glad it made it into the headline.

"President Bush on Tuesday dismissed as "finger-pointing"
Was that tongue and cheek humor on GW's part? Because Billy was sure doing a whole lot of finger pointing during the Chris interview.....

"We'll let history judge all the different finger-pointing and all that business. I don't have enough time to finger-point," Spoken like a true pro. Way to go Mr. Pres.

Bush, who is trying to stave off a Democratic takeover of Congress in November, seemed to bristle when asked about Clinton, only to sidestep his assertions.
Glad to see Reuters is so unbiased in their reporting. One can only imagine the slant if the President had described ol' BJs peccadillo's in flowery prose.

"They had eight months to try, they did not try," Clinton said of the Bush administration response. Is that a modern ex-presidential first? Sailing a brick right at your successor's head?
I know Carter said some things, and early in the last century, Theodore Roosevelt ruffled the waters by voicing his disappointment with the policy agenda of William Howard Taft -- but Roosevelt and Taft were of the same party, and I don't think Carter ever said anything this trenchantly partisan.
Memory check, anyone? I think this is a first -- and Slick, true to his nature, has not merely foot-faulted, but stomped what had been a modern presidential custom.

Bush, who is trying to stave off a Democratic takeover of Congress in November, seemed to bristle when asked about Clinton, only to sidestep his assertions. That phrase is so bias laden it's stunning. I guess not stunning since it happens so often, but still...
To: Uncledave
Clinton also said when his term ended he left the new Republican administration "battle plans" for going into Afghanistan, overthrowing the Taliban and launching a full-scale search for bin Laden. LOL... Gee, maybe Clinton could have left instructions for every president in the coming 21st century.

"They had eight months to try, they did not try," Clinton said of the Bush administration response. "And that's much more important than the fact that I had 8 years to succeed, and I did not succeed."
"Remember, Ah bombed an aspirin factory and I bombed an empty camp. And I went on TV and emoted about how important it was to bring the terrorists to justice. All Bush did was try to salvage the economy I left him."
Shalom.

" I don't have enough time to finger-point. I've got to do my job and that is to protect the American people from further attacks."President Bush has all the hallmarks of a real man, not a name-calling defensive, egotistic, insecure panty-waist. This is the perfect response to the little man.

Maybe now the Bushs will stop trying to cultivate this A-hole. All they've ever gotten from their efforts is a kick in the butt everytime they turn around.

Even with the numerous issue problems I have with GW, he is a classy gentleman. Clinton on the other hand is a classless gutter snipe.
And I will wager that when GW's Presidency is finished he won't be in the public eye much at all.
Clinton's presidency and post presidency has broken the mold for crassness!
