I don't remember any conservatives calling on a retreat, that was all him. Actually, that was Les Aspin. The troops around Mogadishu asked for armored vehicle protection (read BFVs) and Aspin denied them.

Actually, that was Les Aspin.And Clinton put him there. The guy at the top is ultimately responsible. If he wanted the troops to stay, they would have.
