Shelton said, Allen asked whether black families lived in the area before stuffing a female deer's head into the mail box of a black household. Would a deer's head, esp. if it had horns, really fit into a standard mailbox? And how would Allen have known the people who lived there were black if he wasn't even from the area? This is such a smear.

This is such a smear A female deer (a doe) doesn't have horns (antlers). And yes, a small one might fit in a rural mailbox.

This sounded way way too Hollywood for me. Well, I happened to find
this (Jan. 9, 2006):
Deer Head In Mailbox
Several people in Hoke County got a surprise when they opened up their mailbox on Saturday. Deer parts were inside. One lady found a deer head, while others found hooves and legs. The Hoke County [NC] Sheriffs Department investigated and discovered that a local teen had committed the crime, thinking it would be a great prank. None of the families pressed charges however as the teen agreed to replace all the boxes and apologize.
Now they are plagarizing their smears?
Reminds me of "pubic hair on a Coke can."
