There going to Fox's national broadcast (the affiliates) doing basically the same thing.
I'm glad she's going.
I found her insipid and not all that intelligent.
Sorry.
I am already sick of Fox News shoving Martha down our throats. Again, WHERE IS LINDA VESTER?????
Keep M&J!!!
F&F was never as "fluffy" as Today or GMA because they talked more about news and political stories, and I always felt they struck the right balance. The other networks, CNN, NBC, BlahBlahBlah, were all competing for the same audiences -- mostly liberals -- whereas many of Fox's viewers lean away from the left.
I think Gretchen is too stiff, but I'm willing to give her a chance. It took a long time for me to warm up to Doocy and Brian gets on my nerves at times, but they worked as a TEAM and each brought something different.
This morning didn't get off to a good start. I wake up grouchy, don't like my routine being messed with, and ED's exit from F&F was MESSING with it!
I want her back too, pronto. I stopped watching Dayside when they turned it into a flufffest with way too much flirting, sexual innuendo and non-stop talk about reality TV.
Linda probably saw what they did to her show and decided being a stay-at-home mom was more intellectually stimulating.
After all, thousands of viewers (looks like I wasn't the only one) left her show when she did.
Yeah. I used to like ED a lot, and then after the last kid I felt like she turned into a nasty _itch for a while, and they relieved her of 6:00 a.m. duty, which made her look like a queen. She has really gotten over that, and I've come to like her again, but all along I suspected it had to do with the early morning hours being really bad for her. They also commute to Dripping Springs most weekends, IINM, and I have to think that's hard on them.
Anyway, it's risky, but I hope it works out. Gretchen is very good, she came from CNN, so I have concerns about her liberal tendencies, but she is good.
I'm back having a problem with the weekend team. I don't think Kelly is working out. I really like him, I think he's a great guy, but he's a little too reserved. With Julian, hate him or hate him, the pot was always bubbling.
me, too I like E.D why the switch??
I'm not so fond of G. Carlson...:(
Kiran Chetry would have been great in that job, I have to admit. She'll get silly, which is the fuel that drives that show. I think Gretchen Carlson, like Kelly Wright, is likeable, but a bit too reserved.
If they had to replace E.D I rather they had chosen Kiren..
ED Hill may have been wrong at times, but she was never uncertain!
This morning didn't get off to a good start. I wake up grouchy, don't like my routine being messed with, and ED's exit from F&F was MESSING with it!
Sounds like me! I don't like change either!
That's pretty terrific about Mike and Juliet. My only question though, is will they ever date? /guffaw
I didn't really mean fluffy. Fox and Friends has their share of fluff, but seems to be balanced. Most morning shows need a little levity. They did a good job of it.
That's funny, it's Doocy that gets on my nerves. Brian's dummy act can get a little old, but Doocy's unrelenting silliness... it's like he tries every little gag that comes into his brain and a lot of the time they aren't very funny. I'm embarrassed for him.
They are just great friends. Two peas in a pod if you ask me. Yes, men and women CAN be friends for goodness sakes!!!
I thought I read she was due back and they were trying to find a "fit" for her in the lineup. I don't know what happened. I just wish Fox News would do whatever necessary to get ther back. She is awesome.
:( I like E.D. too. Don't know who Gretchen is, didn't watch this a.m.
I can think of 2 fits for her: either during Studio B with Shepherd Smith or The Fox Report with Shepherd Smith. :) I can't stand him.
I also would like to know "the rest of the story". Of course, I haven't read the rest of the thread yet, so there may be some insights from others.
I did think that all the kids were part of the story, but the lack of a goodbye program seems odd.
