BAGHDAD, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Saddam Hussein was expelled from the courtroom for the second hearing in a row on Monday after the new chief judge dismissed his request to be allowed out of the metal pen where defendants must sit. "I have a request here that I don't want to be in this cage any more," he said, waving a yellow paper. "Get him out," the judge ordered court guards.

He wanted out, the judge threw him out. Sounds like a win-win to me.

When will this trial end already? At this rate, most of us will be dead and buried before we see justice served. And OJ will have found the real killer.

Ah, the rule of law. Wrong decision? Change the judge.

Not dropping a hand grenade down the spider hole to kill saddam is the biggest mistake so far in Iraq. As long as he is alive many of the Iraqi insurgents (saddam supporters) fighting our military and coalition partners still have hope that he will return to power and will keep attacking us 'until that day comes' (in their minds).

"I have a request here that I don't want to be in this cage any more," [Saddam] said, waving a yellow paper.I'm all for this request.
He should spend the rest of the trial in a running industrial plastic shredder.

When will this trial end already? At this rate, most of us will be dead and buried before we see justice served. And OJ will have found the real killer. Oh no we mustn't. Our leaders are much more concerned about teaching Iraq about Civics to be worried about such trivial matters as bringing a thug dictator to swift justice./sarcsasm
My question is why did G.W. Bush turn that man back over to the Iraqi people to start with? He had no business doing that. American soldiers blood was shed to get this man yet our government has allowed this to become a circus of never ending always recessed trials likely by half of the people who supported him to start with. Give him a military tribunal and be done about it. The longer that man lives the longer we'll be in Iraq.

Off topic, but can you imagine Miss Kitty's shock if she had to run the Saloon in HBO's Deadwood?

Maybe the idea is to put Usama bin Laden in the same cell with Saddam Hussein, so they can mate.

Running it? Or 'greasin' it with his body fat by going thru it?
