CIA's Harsh Interrogation Techniques Described
(Khalid Sheik Mohammed BEGGED to confess)
It would be interesting to see if post-election polling reveals
that revelation of the treatment of KSM et al....
may have picked up votes for Republicans in this election.

Great, somebody else leaking our techniques so that Al Qaeda can just watch ABC or read the NYT and start training to withstand those techniques. Fantastic. Maybe we can just email the details of our methods over to Al Jazeera so that all of the AQ guys hiding in the caves can see them as well.
And the NYT is printing leaked portions of NIEs again. Apparently, there is no secret in this country (that involves Bush) which the MSM doesn't feel an overwhelming compulsion to print or air. We might as well just abandon the idea of having 'intelligence' in the US since the agencies involved don't have enough employees who care more about their countries safety than they do about harming Bush.

Khalid Sheik Mohammed is mostly deaf in both ears, so I am not that impressed.
I won't be suprised if, in the distant future, when the KSM tape is
declassified, that we'll hear a repeated loop of the following
dialog for about 2.5 minutes.
KSM: "STOP! I'LL TELL YOU EVERYTHING!!!"
CIA Operative: "Would you please repeat that Mr. Mohammed?
I couldn't hear you through the gurgling."

I smell a Miranda warning coming for captured terrorists: "You have the right to remain silent...You have the right to have Al Jeereza (?) at your side before any interrogation!"

[Al Qaeda can just watch ABC or read the NYT and start training to withstand those techniques.]
There is no effective training to withstand those techniques and as long as their use is allowed to continue they'll be effective. The problem is that there are too many people who've sided with the Jihadists on this issue for political reasons (the enemy of George Bush is my friend even if he's a terrorist) that they're sabotaging every effective tool in our arsenal.
The Democrats have unwisely put themselves in the position of only benefiting politically from bad news for the United States of America. They only "look good" if the economy is in recession or natural disasters destroy whole cities or terrorists kick our ass, and if these things don't happen on their own they'll just lie about it.

I'll just beg more forgiveness in church next sunday like I always do.
The Christian in me says I should be better than them.
The man in me says we should stop beating ourselves up over how these scumbags are treated.
Sadly, the man is winning this argument.
If we do not wake up and fight with all our might and crush our enemies we will lose this war. Being nicer than the other guy has never won a war that I am aware of.

At least the interrogators didn't use drills on their bodies, or torn out nails or cut fingers and other appendages off, finally beheading them. Oh, how about gutting them while still alive. That is a favorite muslim trick.
But Amnesty will come after the US for those methods we use. They never complain about the muslim torturers. Just as they didn't complain about the atrocities conducted by the Japanese, Germans, or the Russians during WWII. Nor did they make any complaints about how our prisoners were treated at the Hanoi Hilton and other prison camps during the Nam war.
Here we have tree huggers and goody two shoes crying and whining because we use softer techniques.

They're hard to get ahold of, but I kinda like the 'compression/decompression' chamber method (described by Tom Clancy in one of his novels). Pretty sure that was "Without Remorse" which was brilliant but a little sick.

The best torture would be to threaten to send them to the tender mercies of that Iraqi prison where they use to make you wear dog collars in your underware.
From what I have read those prisoners are begging to be put back under U.S. military imprisonment.
To: Mr. Brightside
This little nugget was about halfway through the article:
"While some media accounts have described the locations where these detainees are located as a string of secret CIA prisons a gulag, as it were "
So now we are operating gulags, ABC? What a joke.
To: Mr. Brightside
I've been waterboarded. SERE school.
They used a wet beach towel instead of cellophane. Still, eventually anyone would tell pretty much everything they know.
Even the trained, tough guys would begin to weaken if faced with the waterboard twice a day, every day, until you tell all. It's the stuff of nightmares.

The ceremony is honorable and fun. No one gets hurt. You must have been in the Clinton Navy. I remember something called a "wog-flogger" made out of a 2 ft. length of firehose.

Khalid Sheik Mohammed is mostly deaf in both ears, so I am not that impressed. You have to remember to take these things in context. :)
Thanks for the clarification, I thought this guy might be superman or something.
