Hard pounding, gentlemen: but we shall see who can pound the longest.
- Arthur Wellesley. Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo
by Bill Levinson
Editor's note: The difference between 400 GB and 800 GB of bandwidth per month at my service provider is about $10/month. GB is GIGA-bytes. A gigabyte is 1 billion bytes. An average blog/message board web page is 150 KB 150 kilobytes. A kilobyte is 1000 bytes. So theyre saying the Democratic Party, with millions in its war chest, cant spend $20.00 over the next two months for 5,333,333 (thats 5.3 MILLION) page hits? Yeah, right.
Hard pounding and not wishful thinking wins battles, whether physical or political. If MoveOn.org's first suspension of its Action Forum on 8 September was a rout, its re-suspension of the Action Forum as of today is an unprecedented disaster that portends total organizational collapse-- if its adversaries rouse themselves sufficiently to pursue an effectively-disarmed, disorganized, and fleeing enemy to the death.
We wrote on 10 September, "If the events of last Friday (8 September, MoveOn.org's disabling its Action Forum) constituted a headlong rout, [MoveOn's Tim] Hansen is probably the officer who is trying to rally the fleeing troops and avert a total disaster. We do not think he will succeed and it is our own dharma (Right Way) to make sure he does not..."
We said that MoveOn.org would not stand, and it has not. Attempts to access the Action Forum (which is no longer linked at MoveOn's home page) now yield the following message:
As we did in 2004, we've suspended ActionForum for the final push to the election to conserve technology bandwidth. ActionForum will be back after the election.
No one disables their Web site, or part of it, six weeks before an election they are trying to win. Page visits-- the more the better-- are every Webmaster's measure of success, and the excuse that MoveOn wants to "conserve bandwidth" would not fool a child. Does anyone seriously think that an organization that is backed by George Soros' money can't afford the bandwidth necessary to reach as many potential voters as possible during this critical period before the election?
It is eminently clear that MoveOn.org disabled the Action Forum to prevent its adversaries from harvesting reams of anti-Semitic and in some cases racist, anti-Christian, and anti-American hate speech along with 9/11 conspiracy theories that would play well on the Jeff Rense Show. Even this does not begin to describe the extent of this latest disaster. Remember that the Action Forum was taken down on 8 September for the following purported reason:
The MoveOn Great Goals ActionForum will be down until after the election. So much is happening with the MoveOn PAC Leave No Voter Behind campaign and other projects that our systems are at their limits. Suspending the Forum gives us a margin of safety and is a prudent thing to do. We will bring the forum back up after the election.
Contrary to the above statement, the Action Forum was brought back online less than two days later, albeit under very heavy moderation that turned away 40 percent of its participants (according to our count of articles posted in late August versus a few days ago). We believe this decision was almost certainly due to our assessment of the forum's disablement as a headlong rout. Upon reading this assessment, someone at MoveOn-- perhaps Eli Pariser or Tim Hansen, the person who Pariser says "makes the Action Forum sing"-- realized very quickly that the political equivalent of dropping one's weapons and fleeing a battlefield in terror does not inspire confidence in the poltical camps of the candidates one is endorsing.
MoveOn therefore realized that it had to stand its ground to keep up the appearance that it is a viable political ally as opposed to a rotting albatross-- stinking to high heaven of bigoted hate speech interspersed with 9/11 conspiracy theories-- that can be hanged around its candidates' necks. Furthermore, MoveOn.org knows that we interpreted the 8 September shutdown as a total rout and it must have known how we would interpret today's shutdown. The fact that a widening and incessent hail of criticism-- "we shall see who can pound the longest"-- forced it to shut down the forum yet again is clear evidence of just how dire MoveOn's situation is. We can only infer that something is happening to convince MoveOn that, despite the certainty that its opponents will react to today's shutdown the way a pack of wolves reacts to the smell of blood, not shutting it down would have even worse consequences.
We do not know exactly what happened, although we sent information files about MoveOn's anti-Semitism and 9/11 denial (like Holocaust denial, except it writes off two missing skyscrapers instead of six million missing Jews and three million missing Polish Catholics) to the candidates whom MoveOn has endorsed, cc: their opponents. It's possible that someone from Bob Casey's or Ned Lamont's campaign demanded that MoveOn get rid of the incriminating evidence before it costs someone the upcoming election. If this does not lessen the pressure, and we intend to make sure it does not, someone like Casey-- who is running as a moderate Democrat in a moderate to conservative Democratic state-- may have to cut MoveOn loose even if it means returning more than $150K in campaign funds. The instant a Democratic candidate does this, it will show that MoveOn is a liability to the Democratic Party and that is exactly what we intend to make happen.
War is a science with rules to be applied which good soldiers appreciate, recall, and recapitulate, before they go to decimate the other side.

Lessons to date:
(1) Organizational psychology is vital in "reading" an enemy organization. Look for signs of irresolution and uncertainty in the opposing ranks-- the fatal "one step backward" that cues a savvy observer when to go in for the kill.
(2) Do not attack the enemy's rank-and-file; drive a wedge between the leaders and the rank-and-file. In the case of the Million Mom March, we showed the followers that the leaders were lying to them. Similar tactics were advocated for dealing with the International Solidarity Movement. In this case, we use the leaders' tolerance and perhaps encouragement of their followers' indiscretions to demolish the organization.
(2a) Per Sun Tzu's Art of War, break up the enemy's alliances. In this case, we want to make the Action Forum's anti-Semitism and 9/11 denial a liability to any candidate who accepts the group's support.
(3) Once you get past the Left's strident rhetoric that calls you a racist, Zionist, Jew with divided loyalties, Bushite, conservative Neanderthal, or whatever, you discover quickly that the other side has no arguments whatsoever. Fear of mostly-imaginary threats deters nineteen out of every twenty decent human beings from standing up to racism, anti-Semitism, 9/11 denial, and Islamofascism. Oriana Fallaci was the other one in twenty and it is her example we should follow.

Funny stuff! Thanks for posting. Our local Air America affiliate switched to a lower power station this summer. Even local celebrity (Cincinnati) Jerry Springer seems to be on the way out.
Woot. Burn, moveon, burn.
bump
Why? Isn't this like saying "...it will show the enemy is making a huge tactical mistake, and this is exactly what we want to accomplish.
Dumb.
Move On is full of Jewish liberals.
Then again the Nazis did profile Jewish liberals to be Kapos.
I wonder why?

In a December 9th e-mail signed by Eli Pariser, Justin Ruben, and the whole MoveOn PAC team, the Soros front group stated: In the last year, grassroots contributors like us gave more than $300 million to the Kerry campaign and the DNC, and proved that the Party doesn't need corporate cash to be competitive. Now it's our Party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back.
To clarify, the hysterical Left believes not only that Americas oldest political party is for sale, but that George Soros has already made the down payment.

Turn on the lights and they scatter, just like cockroaches.
Deranged is a good description...
Watch for more trolls, lurkers, liberal psyops and black propogandists attempting to infiltrate FR!
