"Death spiral" -- love that word, when attached to Angelides' campaign. :)

``The Angelides campaign is in a rut and needs to jerk the wheel'' to extract itself, said Lehane, who worked on Al Gore's presidential race in 2000. ``But as Election Day gets close, it gets harder and harder to do that.''

"You're guy" is up 20 points, why keep opening him up to his own failings for the conservativa agenda, he is Gub after all and has lots of powers he hasn't chosen to wield or maybe even realized he can use... counter that with his many successes for the loony lefty liberals that populate his staff.
Have fun.. less than 6 weeks or so and we'll see how much deeper the state goes deeper in debt.. regardless who's party flag flies over the Capitol. love those out-sourced politicos , especially ones from Austria, mighty social fellows, in more ways than one, if ya get my drift..

"Angelides is also banking on a low turnout among Schwarzenegger's political base of conservatives, some of whom have been irked by his deals with Democratic lawmakers on vast public works bonds and other matters."link
Angelides is counting on YOU to not vote for Arnold, to help Angelides win and you plan to do just that.

I just
can't understand why he's getting his butt handed to him. (/s)
What is it about Democrats and the whole Al Gore Zen thing? Do they really think their constituents want to vote for a warm corpse?

Arnold does enough right to make him worlds better for the state than the San Francisco liberal types that infest California. Angelides, well, he's a nice placeholder for a real candidate.

Angeledes is running "Arnold supported Bush, will he support you?" ads.
They remind me of the SNL parodies saying "George Bush's ancestors game from WESTERN Europe. Dukakis' ancestors came from EASTERN Europe." (they were hilarious).
The thing about Angelides' approach is this: It is an OFFICIAL PROCLAMATION that the Democrats don't have any ideas of their own and are running/will run on a "bash Bush" platform.
This is California, folks. The DNC has NOT abandoned it like the Republicans have.

Angeledes is running "Arnold supported Bush, will he support you?" ads. The first time I saw those, my response was, "Okay! We get it! You idiots hate Bush too! That ain't a campaign issue, you morons!"
