For sure -- plus they mention that the war has "gone down hill ever since Abu Gahrid" --- how's that for colossal nerve?

Let's rephrase that for accuracy, shall we?

"the war has lost popularity ever since the drive by media committed itself to 24/7 anti-American propaganda"

There.  That's better.

ref #900, I was the original Author of "Buffalo Butt" Russert for a few reasons. 1. Look at the shape of a Buffalo, and look at Russert figure. Skinny legs, flat, thick, ugly, hairy Buffalo butt. 2. Russert is a Die hard Buffalo Bill fan from Buffalo,NY,and obviously has been storing up fat(mostly in his torso) for the long Winter months ahead. 3. He leans into his Republican interviewees like he is a male Buffalo head butting the competition. I am sure that other freepers can think of more. The most outstanding feature of Russert that resembles a Buffalo is his Head and neck, and that mean, nasty face, and of course his horns. LOL!

Am I the only one who thinks Kerrey looks like he is sick? I noticed the band-aid on his left temple.

Somebody injected him with something and left a note "protect the toon and we'll get you the anti-dote"

For lurkers from DU, that's a joke, morons.

I'm a bit stunned too. Is this a quote from anothre source, or has NRO gone completely bonkers.

I noticed the last guy on FNC saying the wall was between the Clinton people and the military and CIA. Man, talk about rewriting history!

I detect a Democrat initiative to rewrite history  to blame everyone but themselves.  Gorelick says there was no wall, but that Ashcroft extended the wall during his tenure at Justice.  Then other Democrats are coming out supporting Clinton's obvious lies and distortions.

Just amazing.  But, I still think they are doing all of this because they fear the defeat they face in November if things remain the same as they have been these past few weeks.  The Democrats are striking out at every issue and exposure because they are getting killed in the public arena now.  Voters are paying attention and Democrats believe they can lie and get away with it long enough to get through November.

We really have to resist letting them dictate or change the subject now.   Our focus has to stay with President Bush's efforts to keep the nation safe, the Democrats being on the wrong side of the interrogation issues, and the great speeches President Bush gave this past week.  The economy is doing well and the price of gas has been coming down.   The fed has gotten large amounts of tax money coming in.

The point is, things are going pretty good and Democrat fear tactic claims have all been proven wrong.

YIKES! I accidently cut off the first statement from Byron York's piece at NRO. The first sentence reads:

The Democratic National Committee has just released a statement on the Clinton Fox interview:

Did you all just hear that guy on Fox saying that Trent Lott was one of the ones saying that Clinton was obsessed with Osama bin Laden -- and that Lott said bin Laden wasn't important.

I"m pretty sure we can nail that one down as yet another lie.

The first sentence is this:

The Democratic National Committee has just released a statement on the Clinton Fox interview:

I accidently cut it off when I cut and pasted the article from Byron York. So insert that one sentence...he was quoting DNC, the first paragraph was NOT Byron's words.

My apologies for the confusion.

THAT WAS THE DNC's RELEASE, NOT BYRON YORK's.

Byron York's piece (link here ) starts...

Bill Clinton’s Excuses
No matter what he says, the record shows he failed to act against terrorism.

By Byron York

“I worked hard to try and kill him,” former president Bill Clinton told Fox News Sunday. “I tried. I tried and failed.”

”Him” is Osama bin Laden. And in his interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, the former president based nearly his entire defense on one source: Against All Enemies: Inside America’s War on Terror, the book by former White House counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke. “All I’m asking is if anybody wants to say I didn’t do enough, you read Richard Clarke’s book,” Clinton said at one point in the interview. “All you have to do is read Richard Clarke’s book to look at what we did in a comprehensive systematic way to try to protect the country against terror,” he said at another. “All you have to do is read Richard Clarke’s findings and you know it’s not true,” he said at yet another point. In all, Clinton mentioned Clarke’s name 11 times during the Fox interview.

But Clarke’s book does not, in fact, support Clinton’s claim. Judging by Clarke’s sympathetic account — as well as by the sympathetic accounts of other former Clinton aides like Daniel Benjamin and Steven Simon — it’s not quite accurate to say that Clinton tried to kill bin Laden. Rather, he tried to convince — as opposed to, say, order — U.S. military and intelligence agencies to kill bin Laden. And when, on a number of occasions, those agencies refused to act, Clinton, the commander-in-chief, gave up.

Clinton did not give up in the sense of an executive who gives an order and then moves on to other things, thinking the order is being carried out when in fact it is being ignored. Instead, Clinton knew at the time that his top military and intelligence officials were dragging their feet on going after bin Laden and al Qaeda. He gave up rather than use his authority to force them into action.

Karzai just took a long while to answer Fat Tim when asked if OBL was in Afghanistan. He said no finally... then Tim asked if he was in Pakistan, he said 'probably he is there, as per our info'. Hmmm.

I need a show with Karzai and Musharif on together.

His comments were a total lie. Both Lott and Gingrich supported Clinton's efforts and neither said bin Laden was not important.

The Republican was unprepared to debate that particular issue, and it showed. Earlier in the thread today there are quotes and comments supporting what I'm saying but I'm not sure where they are exactly.

The timing of the Clinton bombings were questioned but never the need or authority he had to retaliate.

It wasn't a wall. It was more of a fence, a partition or a divider. Certainly not a wall. Maybe a fortification, or a palisade?

I see this will be replayed not only at 5PM your time but also at 9PM your time. Record it if you can. There are several parts where he almost slips and says something worse.

You have to see this. A transcript doesn't give the full impact of his facial mannerisms, beet-red face, evil-looking eyes, poking Chris Wallace...MUST SEE TV!!
