I bet Hillary already has her excuse made up for not having a White House Christmas tree in 2009.
I'm watching McCain on Face the Nation. McCain is doing the "Captain Queeg" thing with his pen again.
McCain on with his moral highground on Hate the Nation. Must be careful of our image in the world, but it must be balanced with our safety. He is backtracking a little on his position, imho, due in large measure to the negative feedback he got on his stance. Again, talking about the need to protect our troops, but no mention of the two troops who were dragged and burned, tortured, mutilated, etc.; of which there is apparently a video on line somewhere.
Wag The Dog..poor Clinton..He must realize it is his fault that people doubted his efforts as anything but a way to change the focus away from his sex in the Oval officxe scandal.
Juan got shot down by Mara, of all people, about Bush getting a pass in the preess over no WMD..(The dems thought he had them, too.)
I did not see Bush getting a pass..Bush has been attacked continuously over no WMD in Iraq. Of course Mara says the war is very unpopular, too.
That's the way lawyers speak (apologies to FReeper lawyers!). Always mindful of phrasing so that what they say can be parsed the way they want, if necessary.
LOL!!!!
oh my!!!
Decent people don't like bear baiting, especially when the bear is old and ill. Wallace agreed to a particular format before the interview and he should have stuck to it.
If it had been his intention to show the fecklessness of the Clinton administration he should have invited Sandy Berger for a little chit-chat.
Aside from the possibility of "gotcha" soundbites, these "interviews" are essentially useless if you're looking for information. None of the interviewers, Russert, Wallace, O'Reilly, Steffie, have the breadth and depth of knowledge or the disinterested curiosity to even know what questions to ask.
Some of the very best interviews are on the Northern Alliance Radio Network, out of Minnesota, with Hugh Hewitt (the Grand Inquisitor,) Ed Morrisey of http://captainsquartersblog.com, the great ones at http://powerlineblog.com, also Tom Maguire at http://justoneminute.typepad.com.
I'd like to see Michelle Malkin and Clarice Feldman out there acting human. Who isn't sick and insulted by the over-paid, well-fed under-achievers, the majority of whom are former butt-boys for Dem politicians, that the media moguls palm off on what they assume is a dumb, supine public?
Mara is a doofus, as is anyone who works for NPR.
ROFL! Can't those idiots come up with anything NEW?! What a big yawn.
Oh yah, it's also a huge case of projection.
I'd have to agree with you here. We got eyeballs and ears out here in la-la land. We know a petulant display of temper when we see it. I got a two year old granddaughter and she'll stomp up and down when I remind her that pouring water on the ground is not quite the same thing as actually watering the plants. She'll stomp up and down when the error of her ways are pointed out, asserting loudly that she WANTS to water the ground, dammit.
Okay, she doesn't say the curse word but you get the picture. Ole Bill's performance was along the same lines.
But imagine Hillary's wrath. That whole thing is going to CREAM her campaign.
A good excuse is that she won't be there.
ha ha ha! Get him some ball bearings, quick!
Maybe one day Fox will recruit him with a much larger paycheck and he will see the error of his ways. :-)
McCain says Chavez was despicable; at least he agrees on that. Says we need to confirm John Bolton as US Ambassador to the UN -- good for McCain on this issue. LOL; Scheiffer just screwed up big time....asks McCain when he will make his announcement as a democrat for the presidential nominaton! LOL (he quickly corrects himself).
How about a new news service, based out of a blog, with independently produced segments available for news broadcasts or as podcasts? Anchored, written, edited and owned by Brit and Kim Hume.
I'd subscribe.
I'd also contribute, in whatever way I could! Brit, do you need a research assistant? A gopher?
It was beautiful. My congratulations to FoxNews' producers for the fabulous timing.
geeezamoley!
who on earth would run around saying any WAR is popular?
plus it just shows how the Dems think everything is about polls and polularity... just like Hollyweird....
DEFENDING and PROTECTING people is about honor and duty....not being polular and making friends!
It's coming on shortly here, but from what I read here, why pile on? Sounds like Willy did a pretty good job of burying himself.
Sweet!
