Wow, this is Jason the oldest grandson of Joan's here and don't know if it's my place to do so or not but have a feeling my grandfather is a bit busy with everything else going on and I have some good/bad news to relay to all of you that my Grammy finally passed onto a better place yesterday. All of your comments and prayers I'm sure are being felt/appreciated and quite frankly have brought tears to my eyes. My grammy was a wonderful person and the world would be a lot better of a place with more people like her around.
According to my grandfather she went very peacefully in her sleep yesterday around 3pm. Bless all of you for the well wishes and she will always be with us.
Jason, I am sad to hear the news of Joan's passing. God rest her soul.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Bless you Jason. I know she deeply touched the lives of those she knew. I'm sorry I didn't know her better. My prayers are with her family now. I know how much she'll be missed.
Many hugs to you, Jason, on the loss of your dear Grammy. She has left you many wonderful memories to cherish and, yes, she will always be with you.
Here are the purple pansies that she loved so much when I posted them to her when she first felt unwell...
I am so sorry for your loss. The world lost a wonderful person and her absence will be felt by many people. Prayers are coming to you and your family.

Prayers up for you all.
Prayers going out to you all. God offers comfort for all who mourn. He helps us through.
Jason, thanks for the update. As you have seen, your grandmother was cherished here, as she obviously was in her family. That is a wonderful legacy for any of us to leave to our children and grandchildren. Your family has been richly blessed. We pray your family finds comfort in the memories of your lives with your grammy and the knowledge that she is now in the loving hands of Our Lord.
Thank God for your grammy! I join with the others here praying for you, your grandfather and all the loved ones - God's peace, blessing and guidance as you deal with your grammy's homegoing.
Another great lady has gone to be with Our Lord in Heaven, Jason. We all have loved your Grammy almost as much as you, and we'll miss her, too.
I have a feeling that if you need to, you can always come back here and talk to the folks who've been posting on this thread. We're kinda like a huge extended family here.
God rest her sweet soul and comfort all of you.
This world is not my home, I'm just passing through
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
They're all expecting me and that's one thing I know.
My Savior pardoned me and now I onward go.
I know He'll take me through, though I am weak and poor.
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Just up in Glory Land we'll live eternally.
The Saints on every hand are shouting victory.
Their song of sweetest praise drifts back from Heaven's shore
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
