I take it that you're kidding, right? OBL was on video right before the 2004 election.

Yeah...all those current news references he's made since have been the result of that evil American Hollywood magic.

"No shiite, he's dead! He died at Tora Bora in 2001.."

That is what I believe also. He loved the camera so much and since then there have been only "supposed" audio messages from him. I believe he has been gone for a long time.

Agreed, no concrete evidence of his being alive since 2001 has ever been shown. Someone in another thread mentioned finding a note with his handwriting on it a few years ago or so, but we all know how subjective that is.

Trust me, osama is a man that thrived on publicity and attention. That is why he still appeared on that video in 2001, even though he looked near death, because his ego was greater than his desire to appear invincible from U.S. forces (bombs).

Most telling is that in the video released recently threatening arab states and israel, it was not osama but his second in command zawahiri that appears. They can smuggle opium and everything and anything in and out of afghanistan and pakistan, you'd think they could smuggle a reliable piece of video that shows osama live in real time by now. Yet they haven't.

So, Osama died a long time ago. If he does show up alive one day I'll be the first to eat crow, but for now he's most assuredly dead.

Given the fact that he refered to John Kerry by name in one of the 2004 videos, that seems highly unlikely.
