Hospitals don't have carpets. It is not permitted. You may see carpeting in annex buildings attached to the hospital or in clinic hallways and sometimes in waiting rooms (depending on the specialty), but there the type of carpet is very specific so it can be easily steam cleaned. Same for wall soundproofing material.

In my hospital, the carpeting is laid in squares for easy removal when stained. and they only have it in the lobby or a few non-clinical rooms.
