"The man who shot and seriously wounded Pope John Paul II has warned Pope Benedict XVI not to visit Turkey "
I don't know why any non Muslim would want to visit Turkey let alone the Pope. Non Muslims should stay away from Muslim countries if they don't want their heads chopped off and Muslims should all be deported to a Muslim country.

Yes, and IIRC Pope Paul visited him in jail to forgive him.

Also, on the day that the Pope comes out among the crowds in his Popemobile, in St. Peter's square, checking everyone for a suicide bomber will be very difficult. He was out in the Popemobile in St. Peter's Square the other day. There were security agents running in front, alongside, and in back of it. The news report also said that Swiss Guards in plainclothes were working the crowd.
Personally, I think they ought to have bomb sniffing dogs all around, too.

I am too young to remember and realize that the man who shot the Pope was Muslim??? I believe he's Turkish, and it was rumored that he was recruited by the Bulgarians at the behest of the Kremlin to kill the Pope.
