Boycott Venezuelan-Owned Citgo!
grassfire.org ^

Posted on 09/21/2006 7:46:18 PM PDT by Man50D

Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez has called our President “the devil” on our own soil and then made the sign of the cross with his hands -- as if praying to God for deliverance from the “devil” Bush. This was one of the worst mockeries of a U.S. President in history!

This fascist thug also own Citgo and is making untold millions on Citgo profits to undermine our President and the troops. He is using OUR MONEY to attack and undermine our nation!

Let’s send Chavez a message! Join the Citgo boycott!

Ask any economist.

Boycotting a particular seller of a commodity has no effect.

Gasoline is a commodity.

Buy the cheapest gas you can get and help bring down prices. Lower oil prices means that Venezuela's overpriced oil contracts will be worthless, and he'll have less money to spend on agitating.

He's rather comical. Chavez is secretly on the payroll of the VRWC, and his instructions include being a ridiculous caricature of a statesman.

Oil, like money, is fungible. If Venezuela doesn't sell it to us they can sell it to anybody, most likely the Chicoms.

All you do with a Citgo boycott is hurt a lot of Americans working at Citgo gas stations.

Best bet is to get rid of Chavez and his running dog lackeys.

Citgo and Petro Express make most of their money from their sundries business. Boycotting Citgo means not running inside for a snack or a drink, as well.

Since when do a lot of Americans work at Citgo gas stations? The only ones in my area are foreigners.

If it's an American Independent owner then they may want to consider selling another brand because this boycott will effect the stores that sell the Citgo brand.

"has no effect."

I've been boycotting Citgo for over a year now. The effect it has had may not be on them, but on me. I can rest peacefully knowing that no part of that 50 hour backbreaking work I did last week went to fund Chaves' communistic society.

That for me is a nice 'effect'.

Look, he didn't take over Venezuela not understanding certain things ~ one of those things is that his kind of people are a hopeless minority in the US, and are also so mentally ill they cannot be depended on to support him over the long run.

It will have no effect on the price of gas but will damn sure effect profits of that one company.

You will also have to boycott most of the other gas outlets as well. As the Citgo refineries provide gasoline to many non citgo retail outlets.

We have numerous "spare" foreigners around here. In fact, there are so many of them the few Mexicans hopping off the tour buses to stay find it all but impossible to fit in an economic niche ~ they have to learn Korean to talk to their boss, and eat Salvadoran style tortillas, their own, thinner ones, being completely unavailable.

Then there are the Russians ~ guys at the bottom quickly learn that not everybody who looks Caucasion and drives a pickup truck is a good ol' boy ~ some of them are career criminals who'd just as soon kill you as pay you.
