LOL!!! We should all go buy lottery tickets!
Never trust a Muslim.
I hope all 3 Israelis are released.
The story of them just disappeared off the news.
Never going to happen.
Recognition would include extradition agreements. Try and figure THAT one out.
I'll take the plunge, I mean pledge!!
Lets hope.
These really have been some great days.
I was waiting for the week or so after Labor Day for Americans to start paying attention to the election stuff, but with the world situation really cooking - Pope, McLame, UN funnies, now Abbas, ... - I'm beginning to believe that the whole world is starting to really pay attention to the overwhelming presence that President Bush has played on the world stage in his going after terrorism and the Islamofascists.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled skepticism.
I think this shows how smart the Administration has been to lay low this past week and let all the nutjobs overplay their hand. And like you said, even if the Palestinians don't really mean it, at least they are on the record as having said it. That sounds like good news to me.
Wow. Mark this date on your calendars. We should all pray that he survives this brave move and that it leads to genuine peace. Just the fact that a Palestinian leader is willing to say it is hugely important, even if it is insincere. That he is willing to do it unconditionally is even more important.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God" (Matthew 5:9).
I've always thought the best thing that could happen would be for Hamas to be elected to control the government. It's much easier to be the dissident than actually deal with reality.
I'm cautiously optimistic that this is a breakthrough.
I guess Hamas saw the latest Israeli poll results showing Netanyahu leading.
Nah. They'll regard it as void because he was under pressure and continue the struggle. If this is genuine, Abbas' name will probably be remembered by the left as the name of a traitor to the struggle of the people (Whittaker Chambers comes to mind). It'll be tough. He has dark skin and he isn't Christian. So he is prima facie, a good guy. But they'll get by that.
The real affront is that this happened during a Republican administration. For that, there is no forgiveness.
I will take the pledge....I'm as "happpy" as Lindsay Graham.
WAIT A MINUTE, what I'm I agreeing to?
How happy did Shep look at 7:00? Did anybody watch?
meningless rubbish.
the word of ONE person.
only a few people in the US are stupid enough
to believe it.
How did it go over in the Muslim world when Arafat said the same thing?
...For now.
TRANSLATION: "We've run out of money."
Arafat hinted but never came out and did it. The difference being, he got paid either way. Those days are over.
