I think Michael's reading Rangel wrong.
Notice no Dem stepped up to defend Bush from Chavez's remarks for at least a day.
They had to put their finger to the wind first (probably internal polling) before stepping in to do damage control and chastise Chavez.
I think Rangel's remarks weren't noble, just smart, from a political standpoint.
Hell, even the woman translator for Pinky Chavez emphasized his words during his "devil" remarks. Normally the translator speaks in a monotone voice, but not in this case.
Excellent description.
Your Leader mocks and derides the President most of the time. Why get yer panties in a wad over all this?
Good point. Most politicians speak for what's best for the party, and not from the heart. Like you said, there's a political motive for Rangel's "defense" of President Bush.
You're most welcome to stay all evening, m. Gimme your drink orders. Help yourself at the buffet. And the wet-T-shirt contest starts at 9pm... Want to be a judge?
Another freeper on another thread described John McCain as unable to think outside the bamboo cage. I thought that was pretty funny and worth repeating.
My 'Leader'? Who's that, TROLL?
ROTFLMAO!
He's carrying so much 'baggage' from being a POW, that he's truly mentally-ill and undeserving of holding any office. He should be in an institution on IV Lithium-drip, IMO. He's fricking nuts.
Savage enraged about Chavez being allowed to come to our country unfettered. Makes you wonder if Usama bin Laden would be granted safe passage to speak in front of the UN General Assembly, then allowed a grand tour of NYC. Somehow, it wouldn't surprise me.
He holds the president accountable when he tries to take stands that don't pass constitutional muster. Chavez is just a parlor pink scoring insubstantial, inexpensive shots at the president's expense. He's playing to the gallery.
I challenge your Leader to actually use his talent to be relevant and engage above the emotional level.
He is the 2006 version of that anchor in the flick "Network"
In fact, I thing MS may use him as his model.
"I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore."
That was all. I forget the ending. I think he got fired when they realized he was insane
another freeper mentioned that venezuela's oil is heavy and the US is the only place that has refineries that can refine the oil. We could just do an embargo, would take a while for another country to get refineries going, would cripple him
LOL! Savage says he's been demanding for a photo ID to be required for voting. I've been calling for it as well, since I almost always ask those little old ladies why it's not required, as I start to pull my driver's license out of my wallet. What the hell separates us from the illegals anymore?
Wow, Fox just mentioned AbleDanger
Are you talking about Savage? He's not "my Leader", d. C'mon, get a life, pal. What did he say which PO'd you off? Offended you? Did he call a family member a bad name? What's your problem?
Fess-up: he's got YOUR panties in a twist, doesn't he? For WHAT? Spell it out... You used to listen, but he PO'd you off, didn't he?
He says 'plenty of things' which PO me-off, but I let them pass, because the wisdom, truth and clarity which I agree with, override his meanderings on The Dark Side.
I agree with W 100% on everything except immigration and excessive spending issues; there, I also would support his impeachment for dereliction of duty on immigration, but MS demands it on other items, which I disagree with.
To repeat: Savage ISN'T 'my leader', pal. I enjoy listening to his incisive views, unlike Hannity, Rush, Beck etc and others who spout the RNC 'talking points'.
Comments?
Too much data, K... LOL!
