President Bush and Sen. John McCain have reached an agreement on legislation covering tribunals for enemy combatant suspects, NBC News reported Thursday.
Details on the deal were not immediately available.
The compromise comes amid a stalemate that has divided the House and Senate on the treatment of detainees. The two sides remained at odds this week over how to adhere to the 1949 Geneva Conventions and simultaneously give the CIA wide leeway to conduct interrogations.

He's had plenty of practice. He looks awful too. I haven't seen Warner in ages.

Okay, did you see Lindsey Graham just then? If the man is NOT gay, then someone just promised him a new Barbie doll.

Who were the speakers: Frist, Warner, Hadley.....McCain said no words; that means the framework favors the President, imho. But we shall see.
Exactly....or McPain would be boasting.....I think the President won out on this one.

He kept going up on his tippy toes and then back down, up on his tippy toes and then back down, with a wince thrown in there every once in a while. I wasn't sure if he was trying to appear taller, or maybe he had a leg cramp.
Anyway, Fox cut away before he got to the mike. HA!

McConnell on the Deal [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
WASHINGTONU.S. Senate Majority Whip Mitch McConnell made the following statement Thursday regarding progress on the Bringing Terrorists to Justice Act:
The President was very clear that any legislation on terrorist detainees must ensure that our intelligence-gathering interrogation program can continue. As the President said, this valuable program has saved innocent American lives and is preventing future terrorist attacks. The legislation we will soon consider on the Senate floor meets the Presidents criteria. This is a big win in the continuing war on terror.

You hear that? They have a "framework."Why they're even bothering fiddling with the Geneva Convention, which by the way the terrorists aren't covered under, is beyond mindboggling, aside from the fact that this year is an election year.
I was watching FOX, I ended up turning it off. I'm sick and tired of hearing toothy-grinning elitist snobs on my widescreen TV telling me I'm responsible for global warming.

Shep Smith said he doesn't believe Linseed is gay. He did note, however, that when he kissed him, he giggled!

My mom and dad live here in town and he's receiving radiation and will be okay; it's aggressive but treatable.
What's going on with my sister isn't so easy to understand or accept; see the link. We'll be gone until early October.
Thank you for your prayers and support.

I already got a boat, and lots of ice. I just need that Liquor store. Normally, I am a Scotch man, but I just developed a taste for those new flavored Vodka's.
In case anyone thinks that all I do all day is sit around and drink, I would have them know that I also drink at night.
