Halibut is my favorite fish to eat. Here on the east coast, we pay at least $13/lb for it. Looks like I'll be eating more cod this year.

I like salmon or steelhead trout. Halibut can be tough, as can swordfish, and cod isn't really available here. I avoid perch and flounder, unless it's stuffed with crabmeat.

I have buddies that go to Alaska every year to fish for halibut. They throw back the 20-50 lbs., keep the bigger ones. Records for them 168 and 172 lbs. Biggest they've seen caught 302.
