Nano-probe spacecraft? Considering what we know about the energy cost of crossing interstellar space and how feasible miniaturization is at the nano level, its how I would design probes to explore other star systems.

I'm trying to remember the scene in "The Right Stuff" where everyone broke down and cried because there were flecks of ice floating alongside...

From MIR as the USSR dumped some of their trash, as I understand it, into space or it could be from our early space trips.

Or it could be a Vulcan or some other folks who came for a picknick.

It could be some of the participants of the USSR's failed attempt at the record for most cosmonauts on a space walk. I don't recall the year or number of, but I hear they are still out there

Briefing underway now, and it looks like the re-inspections have shown nothing of interest, except the fact that a shim and a gap filler that were previously noted were no longer protruding from the heat shielding.

I think they have determined that at least one of these items were viewed floating away yesterday.

Looks like everything is OK, and no further cause for worry, bu they are taking no chances and continuing to look for possible problems.

I expect this bird to land on Thursday. This space junk problem is going to get nothing but worse. They need to design something to clean the mess up when they see it.

A Self Propelled Orbital Swiffer Sweeper ! SPOSS for short......:-)
