A good portion of those supporting the 2 bonds worth 24 Billion may just be high,, period.. it works out to close to 50 billion dollars after the bonds are retired in the distant future..
'Pay as you go' replaced by 'let's blow some more dough'

Not that it was any great feat, but the Democrats who screamed for recalling the Governator look pretty darn stupid as he coasts in for an easy re-election.
...And he gets to pick a GOP Senator should a mid-term vacancy arise.

a mid-term vacancy ? we should be so lucky.
Hey, Dick Mountjoy may make it there yet. or better yet, McClintock, altho that would be a waste were that to happen, altho it would get him out of the Ca GOP's hair... ;-)

We get to vote for the lesser of 2 evils once again. How I yearn for an honest man.

As if I would vote for that leftist Angelwhateverhisname is! (Could we get a governor whose name I can spell again someday? :-) )

The celebrity governor, a Republican, has the support of 53.6 percent of high-propensity voters, compared with 31.4 percent backing Angelides... Okay, a 22 Point Lead. Can we quit leaping even further left now?
Will the GOP start supporting some of the other candidates in the race a bit more?

I didn't know they had real elections in Kalifornia.
I certainly feel like I am living in a socialist state of mind.

Of course we have real elections in California... then the judicial oligarchy tosses out the results they don't like. Such is life.

Cox would be a reasonable choice, he has a decent track record, altho he seems to be doing a good job at the SEC, he may be ready to move on in a couple years too, that has to be a pretty tough job.. probably wears on a person after awhile.. he could probably get a better return on a dollar for dolar basis for the state than either babs or difi has ,,
