I don't know, maybe we could work with this. If every Islamist cab driver had some clear marker on his cab, then those of us who at some point in our lives have eaten pork, drank alcohol, or seen the face of a woman who was not a family member (etc., etc.) could just signal that in order to avoid offending their religion, we'll just wait for the next cab, say by extending the back of our hands with the fingers clenched except for the middle one raised to denote the one true God, Allah.

In the 80s I carried a case of German beer as my carry on luggage from Germany, and hand carried it out of the airport.
Of course back then I also got to go up and sit with the pilot on a different flight.
I haven't flown since before 9/11, but I hear things have changed a little.

Maybe if they don't want to transport passengers with alcohol, the city could just order them to mark their cabs with pictures of mohammad

Actually, just tried to come up with an analogy. You are probably right.

Cabbies might have the right to refuse a fare based on safety concerns, but not religious concerns. IMHO, cabs should be able to refuse service to whomever they want, for whatever reason they want. On the other hand, I would see nothing wrong with requiring that a driver who refuses a fare that seeks to go to his labeled destination(*) go to the back of the taxi line.
(*) At Washington National Airport, there are (or at least were) DC cabs and Virginia cabs. If you wanted to go to DC but tried to board a Virginia cab, or vice versa, you would be refused but the driver should hardly be penalized for that.

Islam is the religion of third world ignorant pigs.

They'll probably just drink wine, quietly talk about new fashions, and then return your rental home in perfectly clean condition after a week or two. Dude! Take it from a long-time San Franciscan: There is clearly a lot about the Poofter-American community that you do not know.
To: Blue Jays; PLK
in reality having a bunch of poofters prancing around your rental property is likely more profitable for you. They won't drink beer and start wrestling to impress the girls...smashing furniture in the process. They'll probably just drink wine, quietly talk about new fashions, and then return your rental home in perfectly clean condition after a week or two.
Clean it nothing . . . your place will be redecorated and FABULOUS!

Show a cross you must take it down. Object to alcohol we must respect your religion. "Tolerance" is apparently a one-way street. Why are so many of our public officials such craven hypocrties?
To: Pikamax
I don't see what the problem is. Seems analogous to a pharmacist who won't fill a prescription for the morning after pill on conscience.
I don't see how the customer is inconvenienced. Just get in the next cab. The cabbie pays a heavy price for his conscience by having to go to the end of the line and wait again for hours.

Why are so many of our public officials such craven hypocrties? Because they are only looking out for their own advancement not their constituents!

The worst of it is, they're also not looking out for the survival of our country.
To: Pikamax
Why aren't we keeping these people out of OUR COUNTRY?
I wonder how many of these drivers are illegals. We should send the INS up there next time they start whining about their "rights."
If only our Republican elected officials cared about SECURING THE BORDERS and DEFENDING OUR SOVEREIGNTY.

Shouldn't all business owners have the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason?
