Steve Irwin's Memorial Service to Air on Animal Planet

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, FROM 9-10 P.M. ET/PT. Get a reminder!

(Silver Spring , MD) — Animal Planet is airing Steve Irwin's memorial service exclusively in the U.S., commercial-free, on Tuesday, September 19, from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT, with an encore broadcast airing 12-1 a.m. ET/PT. The memorial service, entitled Steve Irwin: He Changed Our World, will be a same-day broadcast (with a two-hour delay) of the event Wednesday morning in Australia.

The public memorial service for the beloved animal conservationist and television personality is being held in the "Crocoseum," a 5,500-seat stadium at Irwin's Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Australia. Members of the Irwin Family, as well as Irwin's long-time friend and producer, John Stainton, are expected to speak. Celebrities and dignitaries worldwide are expected to attend.

Here come the tears again (picture show), especially the ones with his family. This guy lived more life in his short 44 years than anyone could in 100. His kids were his biggest accomplishment.

God bless ya Steve, rest in peace, and in God's loving arms. Give a pat on the head for Sui for us too.

Is that midnight as in 12 westcoast time or eastcoast time.

If it is east coast time it will be in 2 hours.
If west coast time it will be 5 hours.

Do we know if that is 12 west coast time, 5 hours from now?

This memorial service could not have been any more fitting to honoring this humble man. What a fantastic poem! Beatifully chosen music and lyrics. My entire family has been crying for over an hour. And for us to feel this loss so deeply, one can't even imagine the loss in Terri's and the children's lives.

Many, many, many hugs and prayers and prayers and prayers to you, Terri, Bindi, Bob, Bob, Wes, John, Steve's sisters and the rest of the Steve Irwin family.
