You can try but I seriously don't see that you have the facts to make that comparison. He has no public record of votes. The media is untrustworthy at best depending upon the source and people just think they know where he stands. It's ridiculous to call anyone a liberal because they are not a robot. Bush has been called out by conservatives for not being conservative enough.

My point is that this BS litmus test that you apply so haphazardly is simply not a fair measure of a man. Every human being deserves to be taken in his entirety, flaws and all and entitled to respect. Human dignity. People sitting on the sideline hurling bombs day in and day out, not backed up by facts is derisive and reminds of the Democrats not what the Republicans should be engaged in.

In regards to my feelings, they do not enter into this. I am looking to the good of our country and our party. I want to give a fair hearing to every single person that runs for President.

The way people go after McCain is also unfair. But at least there is a record in which to disagree with him. However to simply dismiss such folks as rino's does nothing to enhance public discourse. I could call Romney a Liberal, but considering how little I know about him, I think that would be grossly unfair.

I am ONE of those that calls Bush out on not being conservative enough. This does not mean I hate him, this does not mean I think he lacks honesty or integrity. I believe he possesses both...

You are claiming that yo KNOW my litmus test, and it is BS...you are claiming that you know how I measure a man.

I am going to stop there. I have in NO WAY attacked YOU. I have disagreed with you on Rudy. But I have not in anyway attacked, challenged, or questioned your measure of people, or called what I ASSUME to be your views BS....

I love you, and I adore you. But I also know that you are less likely than I am to seperate your heart and passions form opinions and logic.

Because I love you, and value you as a a friend, I will let your assumptions of me go unanswered, and unchallenged. But I will admit. You just changed our relationship. I have been as kind and humble as I can be to you over this without abandoning my integrity.

So - we can drop it and move on... or you can continue to back me into a corner by questioning my character, and leave me no choice but to counter. Your attacks and accusations of me for my opinion have reached my limit.
