Hopefully this means the Fed will ease up, or at least not further tighten.

Inflation in check the Dems warn that the second Great Depression is just around the corner.... I think their assesments are warnings based on what happens if they get elected... Ah it all makes sense now.

Let me give it a try. Here's what Willie Green would say:

"Prices are down. That means we're going into a recession. And if you're unemployed, it doesn't matter how low prices are. You still can't feed yourself. Bush has really screw up now."

I wish John Kerry were still alive - I need him to explain to me how bad this is.

This gives the Fed a green light to re-inflate Mr. Housing Bubble.

That's right... And the core excludes gasoline, so the recent drop in gas prices had nothing to do with it.

Of course, most of that happened in September anyway.

The Fed is done. You will start to hear deflation again because the Fed must prepare the Bond Market for the pause and cuts that refresh. Time to inflate the economy with another asset class, but I'm still undecided on what it might be.

I wouldn't assume the Fed is done. They have a history of screwing up.

I would hope it would be something useful and simple, like the FREAKIN' STOCK MARKET!
