Now, now, lizol. You know the Soviets were invited in, and that some Poles collaborated. [Kremlin mode=off]

Of course it's considered politically incorrect to point out that the Soviets started WWII along with the Nazis.

For much of the Twentieth Century the people of Poland have suffered much.Let us hope that they experience a long, long period of freedom from any sort of domination so that they can fully rebuild.

The look in those older gentlemen's eyes reminds me of the look in my father's eyes (may God continue to rest his soul) when he used to talk to us about his combat experiences in the Pacific against the Japanese.
God grant that we will stand up and fight as hard in our generations as these men did...for they knew they were fighting tyranical monsters and were willing to risk and sacrifice their lives to stop it. That was the only way then against such evil...it is the only way now.

What better way to show how Poland and the United States are united in the struggle against evil.

It's too bad we didn't lift a finger in 1939.
To: lizol
It caused quite the dilemma for the commies in this country who'd been ripping Hitler over the invasion.
To: mainepatsfan
The Commies hated Poland since the "Miracle on the Vistula" thwarted the Soviet advance through the rest of Europe.
