It's not a non-event, it's an "isolated incident".

"Construction workers and police said the man drove his SUV through a barricade at the Capitol"
If he went through it, i'd say it wasn't much of a barricade. I find it extremely worrisome that he got into the capitol. I'm Glad he didn't have a jacket full of explosives...

Running AND having a seizure? (trying not to laugh here)

The U.S. Capitol was shut down briefly on Monday after a man was arrested for racing past security into the building, Capitol police said. He was captured just inside the building. The building was closed for a search but it was opened within an hour, the police said. REUTERS/Larry Downing (UNITED STATES)

No worries... If the guy is a black southern congressman, it was racism, and he'll get a slap on the wrist.

The man was armed with a gun, said one security officer speaking anonymously pending an official briefing. The officer said the man was captured by police after running through the Rotunda in the center of the Capitol and down a stairway into the basement.
It seems he managed to make a rather extensive trip on foot during his excursion through the Capitol Building. How did Security allow him to get that far? Is Barney Fife the only guard on duty that time of day?

It's also worrisome that he got all the way into the basement. Shouldn't he have been stopped prior to going so far (as opposed to being purseued and stopping on his own after having a seizure?). Seriously, this guy should have been apprehended after being shot or tazered, not after having a seizure.
