unfortunately you are using "emotional" reasoning with McCain as many do here....I do not support him but he has a 70% or so approval rating at home and is very popular to mainstream America.....FR not withstanding.....I would not take him too lightly at all......

He has been exposed and I am taking him lightly, McCain shot himself in the foot. He is over.

Cancer face will not make it much longer. I think his cancer has entered his brain, and his swollen face and facial nerve damage speak volumes. This man is sick, both physically and mentally.

McCain "is very popular to mainstream America"

Unfortunately true. I have a friend who's a dem, and she thinks McCain is a "centrist" who would bring the country together. I try to tell her about the damage done to the constitution by campaign finance reform, and to our security by his "coddle terrorists" stance, and she just won't hear it.

If your 70% number is correct and if I remember right AZ is split about 50-50 Republican/democrat. So that means with the 50% democrat approval he has he only has 20% Republican approval.

McCain does not have 75% approval in Arizona. He has fought such conservatives as Goldwater and Graf, supported Democrat governor Napolitano, and will likely support her again. He is weak on immigration, and he is strong on John McCain. Remember, he is no Arizonan. He is an Eastern elitist, and bumbling Annapolis student, who has made Arizona his home.
