New Poll: Katherine Harris is closing gap!!
SurveyUSA ^
Posted on 09/17/2006 5:58:24 PM PDT by cutepanda
I am surprised that nobody has noticed this poll taken by SurveyUSA on September 14th.
Nelson 53% : Harris 38%
Clearly, Harris is catching up fast. She used to be 30 points behind but in this post-primary poll, the gap has been narrowed to 15%.
Nelson is in his low 50s, he is clearly in danger. For all those Harris nonsayers, I say screw you!! If Harris keeps on campaigning, the victory is within reach!
When RINO Lincoln Chafee won his primary, all the GOP establishement signed a sigh of relief. However, a new poll to be released by Rasmussen shows the following astonishing results:
Whitehouse 51% : Chafee 43%.
Will GOP establishment pour in another $5MM to save this RHINO? Shall we say mission impossible after the conservative voters are pissed off by the blatant interference from Ms. Dole?
Go Harris! Screw you Lincoln Chafee.

I knew KH would close the gap. Bill Nelson doesn't deliver. He's a dust collector, a mere knick knack.

Yeah. Probably because no defeatist morons have gotten shrill enough yet to where they have to be threatened with bodily harm.

>>Do you realize that she is a bit off her rocker? PS, if anyone wants to wager on the election, I have up to $150,000 I'm willing to bet on the outcome.
<<
I would say you were a bit off your rocker, but earliar when I posted on this thread, I was thinking about making a one-way bet, to Katherine's naysayers in this forum, that I would contribute a tally of a thousand dollars of contributions to her campaign- if she wins, you re-emburse me, if she does not, you don't .
I have contributed seven hundred and forty to her race for senate in the past twelve months .
I sent out an email on this forum to several of her Freeper supporters about this committment - - several months ago .
If I donate three hundred and sixty more, will you re-emburse me upon her victory ?
>>Do you realize that in an interview she told a newspaper that if people elect Jews to office, they are guaranteeing immorality in government and public life?<<
She never ever said that - what she did say was "if you don't vote for Christians for office, you are in sin" - -
later on HARDBALL with Nora O'Donnel, Katherine explained that she encourages epople of all faiths to run for office .
Harris simply meant that we should not hide our Christian faith win runningfor office, we should be open, and not intimidated by the Thought Police, whether they are in the ADL of B'nai B'rith or any other leftwing un-American organization that cannot stand the fact that this country is an Christian Nation(but not a Christian State).
Go tell that to Franklin, Olbermann and Jon Stewart - -
who all seem to emanate from that MOSCOW ON THE HUDSON . .
>>Do you realize she is a target of interest of a federal grand jury? << It is my understanding that most of that was over with and she is not a target .
Also, it is probably partisan motivated, like the witch-hunt against DeLay .
Reagan had to go through this a lot . .
>>Do you understand the incredible negatives she brings to the current campaign?
<<
Yes, I do, and I realize that she can overcome them .
The more the American people see how Libs and The 'Crats in the press & media and the courts use they power to harm Conservatives, the more they will vote for her and our side .
The American People decide these issues in the end, not the Mass Media, either in Florida or Nuke York City . . .

Why would people vote for a RINO over a Democrat, what is the difference between the two ? It is a numerical thing....if the dems get the majority THEY will control committees including the Judaical Nominating Committee, you can say goodbye to conservative judges if they head the committee.

"Nelson's position(s) are the same as ultraliberal Democrats from places like Boston and San Francisco."
True, but don't forget that nowadays millions of FL voters are transplants from NY, NJ, MA, and other liberal northeast states who vote for liberal Democrats in FL just as they did back home."
There are about 17 million people in FL and increasing they are natives or what we call "semi-natives" (people who have been here 30-40 years. Those who arrived more recently come from all over the U.S.
The dumbest liberals tend to stay in places like NY, NJ, MA. They are like frogs in boiling water. Smarter, more conservative and younger people come to FL to escape socialism in the northeast. They don't want a Kennedy-Kerry clone representing them in the U.S. Senate.
To: Humble Servant
"Conservatives" need to understand that they are a minority and as such cannot dictate everything to a political party. In order to win it is necessary to get voters from groups other than conservatives. When the Left can do that it wins when the Right can do that it wins.
While it is commonplace that we want to encourage the most lunatic of the Left in the Party of Treason because they weaken it somehow people claiming to be conservatives cannot see that the same thing is true of the Right. When the fringe controls the Party loses.

Yes that has become the case with thousands of ilegals pouring into the country.
The majority of hispanic immigrants, have one thing in common with most conservatives, belief in Jesus Christ, and the Judeo-Christian heritage.
Therefore, thats a base we can go after and win millions of votes.

Marc, No offense, but I realize that to many Californians such as yourself, KH seems perfectly normal.
I too have maxed out my campaign doations to her, but here in Florida, we see her as a bit "off."

Smarter, more conservative and younger people come to FL to escape socialism in the northeast. They don't want a Kennedy-Kerry clone representing them in the U.S. Senate.I hope you're right, but that wasn't the case when I moved from FL over 9 years ago. At that time the area where I lived on the SW coast seemed to be going more liberal as time went on. My state representative was as liberal as any Boston Democrat, and the retirees who were moving into that area in droves were totally obsessed with SS and medicare issues.
I think most of my elderly neighbors down there would have voted for Saddam Hussein if he promised more freebies for the elderly. People we knew who lived on the lower east coast said it was worse on that side of the state where almost all the retirees were from northeastern cities.

It seems to me that if the republicans dump money on Lincoln Chaffee, then they should dump money on Katherine Harris. Whether they like her or not is not the issue. She is the candidate. She is republican. She is capable. She is conservative (can't be said for Chaffee.) The point spread for each is just about the same.
Also, Florida is a more important state than Rhode Island. RI is barely large enough to be a county in MANY other states.

You should first learn to post some facts rather than DU talking points, before putting up money for bets.

PS, before you start making KH some Conservative hero, look at her voting record.
The ADA rates Congressmenbers on the liberal/conservative elements of their voting records.
Of all the Republicans in Florida, she had a voting record of being TWICE as liberal as seven members of the Republican Florida delegation, the same as five members. The ONLY Republican member more liberal than KW was Foley, who is all but openly gay and votes that agenda!
In other words, she was twice as liberal as the majority of the Florida Republican delegation!
This is a Conservative hero? God love her for 2000, but she has been very unimpressive since.
