After all, Tim, back then it was only a short time since we were brutally and monstrously attacked on 9/11 due to 8 years of neglet by the Clinton administration. The single biggest attack in our history was due to a failure to support the intelligence we were then getting. The intelligence agencies suffered serious cuts in the 1990s, cuts that the Bush administration has had to play catch up to fix. The failure to allow agencies to share intelligence by putting up the "Gorelick" wall led to 3,000 Americans killed. We certainly did not want to sit on our hands over intelligence in 2003. That could've led to more killing of innocent Americans.I missed the first 10 minutes of the "debate." Did Allen say this or anything close to it?
If so, he just won the election.
Sadly, no. I put those words in his mouth. These are the things the Republicans SHOULD be saying, but don't.
They really all need to become FReepers, or at least lurk here. What I've said is something that's been repeated here again and again and again.
The don't call the Republicans the "Stupid Party" for nothing!
