McCain thinks he can lie cheat, spin and triangulate his way into the White House but so far only bubba has been able to do that and odds are it won't happen again.

I have begun to wonder if his goal is not third party. Nothing else makes sense!

He must know by now the we, the base, hate him passionately and without us he will never get the nomination so why go through all this unless his play is VP for Hillary or a third party play.

I'm beginning to wonder if Tim is going to let Allen say anything! Webb is getting all the time he wants and Tim won't let Allen respond to anything Webb says!

He had every right to be. Powell was stabbing him in the back. We all should be angry. Treason should cause that reaction.

I agree 100% with you.

I've noticed he's been doing that a lot lately. He must have been getting a lot of grief at the Georgetown cocktail parties.

Timmy's plan this morning, letting Jim Webb go on and on with all of his "expertise" in military matters, is to help convince people that "see, these guys really can take care of this problem."

Chris Wallace is imitating Russert today.

%%%%%%

Including acting a little flummoxed at the end of the interview, when he couldn't leave a mark on Negroponte. ---No 'pull quote" to prove what a great "interviewer" aka Dem sympathizer, Wallace is.

Boehner says he was trying to make a point that there's a big difference between the two parties on how to fight terror and should have been more articulate in his remarks.

He talks about the Hamdi decision handed down by SCOTUS and democrats were jubilant. When leaks that protect the American people are made in the newspapers, the democrats are jubilant.

Look for Russert tomorrow on the Today Show praising Webb and not even mentioning Allen. Timmy is so predictable.

I certainly hope Boehner doesn't apologize.

They don't want him to apologize.  They will try to force him to admit that his "attack" must logically also apply too McCain, Graham, Warner and Powell.

I hope he confirms that it does and that he flat out questions their judgment, not to say their honor.

I think he might just do that, to.  If he does he'll probably try to dismiss Warner's "culpability" by saying he was swayed (meaning fooled) by McCain and Graham.  He should take the opportunity to express great regret at the collapse of the reputation of Colin Powell over his disgraceful handling of the Plame/Wilson/Armitage affair and suggest that his actions are a vain attempt to curry favor with the media to avoid harsh treatment.  Graham he should accuse of attempting to build a JAG empire, turning the military from a fighting force into a law firm, and point out how ineffective such a TO and E would be in combat and how the JAGs are the fools who refused to let us blow up the 170 Taliban gathered for a funeral.  And McCain he can simply dismiss as power mad and consumed by ambition, willing to do and say anything to try to gain the Presidency, even sell out the troops and the country.
