Saddam Had Ties to al Qaeda, Other Islamofascists
Human Events ^ | Sept. 15, 2006 | Deroy Murdock

Iraq-War critics are trumpeting a September 8 Senate Intelligence Committee report that concludes Saddam Hussein knew nothing about the September 11 attacks.

For starters, the report’s sources include “multiple detainees -- including Saddam Hussein and former Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz.” Both are on trial and could face severe punishment. Their exculpatory remarks should be highly suspect, but appear valid to Senate Intelligence staffers.

The report also quotes captured Iraqi documents. Among some 120 million such papers, only 34 million have been “translated and summarized to some extent” to speed analysis. Nevertheless, with nearly 72% of these records still unusable, the report concludes: “additional reviews of documents in Iraq are unlikely to provide information that would contradict the Committee’s findings or conclusions.” Or, in plain English: “Don’t confuse us with data. Trust us. We’re psychic.”

That's a huge amount of documents.

Who knows what else will come to surface?

Keep up the good work of searching through them and translating them. :)

Another important excerpt from the article:

"The report misses the fact that 1993 WTC attack architect Ramzi Yousef -- nephew of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed -- landed in America on an Iraqi passport. Nor does it mention Indiana-born, Iraqi-bred Abdul Rahman Yasin, the al Qaeda operative who built the 1993 WTC bomb that killed six and injured 1,040. He fled to Iraq and, documents show, received a house and salary from Hussein’s regime. As Sheila MacVicar reported for ABC News on July 27, 1994: “Last week, [television program] Day One confirmed [Yasin] is in Baghdad…Just a few days ago, he was seen at [his father’s] house by ABC News. Neighbors told us Yasin comes and goes freely.”

Highly recommend reading the entire article.

Good piece, thanks for posting.

Murdock was right in saying "Don't confuse us with data" and not just with documents.

"President Bush himself should deliver several major addresses detailing Saddam Hussein’s extensive terror record."

Amen.

Somebody on here has a bunch of links to articles that completely address the Sadam-aQ relationship.

The best proof Saddam supported 9-11 is the link below. The proof is in the photo:

Atta Met with Saddam's Representative in the Czech Republic in 2001.

These sorts of articles are really lacking.

There were 17 UN resolutions against Saddam.
Saddam signed a cease-fire (underscore that!).
There was no treaty, nothing, only a cease-fire, which Saddam immediately broke and continued to break until 2003.
Saddam agreed to full and open disclosure of all WMD activity. He did not comply.
Saddam agreed not to use force or WMD. He did not comply.
Saddam entertained terrorists at Salman Pak.
Saddam paid $25k to the families of suicide bombers, thus he exported terrorism.
Saddam waged unlawful war on Kuwait, killing thousands of innocents.
Saddam authorized the burning of oil-fields causing environmental terrorism and destruction.

What Saddam did to his own people is not a war-crime, they continue to do it to themselves. This is who they are.

Saddam, an instigator of terror, a exporter of terror, a harbinger of terror...

This is the headline that needs to be shouted!

This picture was taken during the winter of 2000. The person on the left is believed to be Atta and the person on the right was, Saddam's intelligence official Ahmed Khalil Ibrahim Samir al-Ani who was stationed in Prague before he was expelled from the Czech Republic in 2001
